Why do people search for sponsors who pay in euro?

That's so fucking stupid... Does it even need explanation why it does not make sense??
Do you really think you will get 100 euros instead of $100 ???
If a sponsor pays in euro and bills in dollars, they will convert it and you get the same amount of money.
And If the sponsors bills with 29.95 euros, an american customer just has to pay more dollars to join.
It's obvious, but some people keep looking for sponsors paying in euros

Because among these euro paying sponsors there are companies that charge customers in EUR too. With USD fluctiating every month they just need to secure their income thats all there is to it.

Well yeah ofcourse, they just charge more this way, which results in worse conversion ratio's.

Not necessarily. European sites often offer more provocative content than stuck with the good old 2257 US sites.

Some folks live places where it is just easier to pay Euros into their banks. In places like...um...Europe.

I don't care if customers have to pay more of their weak dollar (in case sponsors bills & pays in euros).
If site have good content and you have prepared the surfer to pay, he will do it don't looking at the price.

Some people make a lot more than they spend, rather than having USD sitting on the account, or paying extra costs to exchange the money to another currency (banks usually buy at LOW or medium bid and sell for HIGH bid), it is more suitable to be paid in EUR as it keep it's value.
Not to mention most EU people pay or are able to pay their normal costs in EUR.
The USD is extremely bad at the moment, and will probably not get better during the next 2 years, so it's not really worth it to invest in dollars with todays market, even US people can get the interest of their life if they exchange their US savings to a EUR savings with no interest, simply since the dollar continues to go down, you would be able to exchange it back to USD in a year, and you would have made 30% or so

A surfer won't mind to pay 2$ extra for an impulse buy like a paysite membership often is while the webmaster ends up with way more. And like Due says, there are surfers from the EU as well, they see no change in rates.

check sig, we pay in euro.

For webmasters in Europe the euro/dollar exchange is a bit more dramatic that you think.

For example... Your sponsor sends you 1.400 USD (at the current exchange rate that's 1.000 euro). The check takes two weeks (more or less) to arrive to Europe, plus it sits on the webmaster desk about one more week till his secretary/accountat/himself go tot he bank and clear the check. during that time the USD has gone even down, so the webmaster gets 980 euro instead of 1.000 as he would have got the same day the check was issued. Now sum several average checks of 2.000 - 3.000 USD from his main sponsors, and you get the idea. He is losing about 200 - 300 euro/month while the checks travel to his office.
Sure 300 euro per month is not much money, but it's 3600 euro per year, or one month of an employee salary. So, by getting the checks in euro he will have enough money to hire someone during a month.

If you are so sure about it, why don't you get into forex trading, and short the dollar, you could make ton of money this way..

I agree too, paying in euros for many of us isn't enough - we also want the entire process to be in euros. If the customer is billed in euros, then the total payout made in euros, then I cash it at the bank in euros and I do much better than I would do with a US check in canada right now.

It just seems logical to go look for sites and programs that pay more and will be fresh to my surfers.

I could make a ton of money, or I could loose a ton of money, I am not into the day to day value of the USD, I just look at the overall picture seing seing the last years, experts say it will continue for another 2 years or so
There is no doubt that you can make big bank speculating in currency exchanges, as long as you know what you are doing

The point is a choice to make more money. Who cares how the sponsor bills, if they payout $30 EU vs $30 US, the math is rather simple.

PAYSERVE bills everyone and pays out in Euros. And retains very well.

SPA CASH bills the European surfers in Euro and you get much more USD's for their sign up that way.
