Well they already passed a law this year making it illegal to melt down coins since they will be (pennies may be already) worth more as scrap metal.

There are way too many factors for me to list... but to answer your question your dollar is worth perhaps one cent per bill if that... however trade and US policies up it to an excitable level... not a simple subject... I'm Canadian and I know who backs our dollar...

We are all going to have cash cards, we are almost living in a cash less society. Seriously, A $20 starbucks card is not even $20 one you purchase it. well at least it is to the consumer but for starbucks they bite it with .50 cent transaction fees every time the card is swiped or loaded.

I think people are confused about the exchange rate. A dollar is still a dollar in america, no matter how much it falls in comparison to other currencies. Now if you're an american tourist you're in for a shock come exchange time, but otherwise...

Way back when, a US Dollar used to buy you half a tank of gas, then a gallon of gasoline a few years back. Now it only buys a third of a gallon. Next year, it might not buy a thimble full.
