Any ATV gurus here?

I have a 2005 YFZ450 that has been sitting in my garage for about 8 months. It won't start.... the engine cranks and it seems and smells like its trying to start but it won't. There's plenty of fuel and oil...

any ideas?

I remember 1 friend of mine had the same problem with his ATV after he haven't started it for more than 5 months.

Leave it 1 more day and try tomorrow to start.
For my friend it worked

Did you put fresh gas in it?

Also try pull starting it instead of using the electric start.

Clean the plugs. Did you put stabilizer in the gas? If not, replace it.

It's the float in the carb.

It dries after a couple of months if you don't start it.

The Carb needs to be rebuilt now. A rebuild kit is maybe
$20 at NAPA.
