Any ATV gurus here?
I have a 2005 YFZ450 that has been sitting in my garage for about 8 months. It won't start.... the engine cranks and it seems and smells like its trying to start but it won't. There's plenty of fuel and oil...
any ideas? |

I remember 1 friend of mine had the same problem with his ATV after he haven't started it for more than 5 months.
Leave it 1 more day and try tomorrow to start. For my friend it worked ![]()

Did you put fresh gas in it?
Also try pull starting it instead of using the electric start. |

Clean the plugs. Did you put stabilizer in the gas? If not, replace it.

It's the float in the carb.
It dries after a couple of months if you don't start it. The Carb needs to be rebuilt now. A rebuild kit is maybe $20 at NAPA. |
