Strangest pizza flavor you have seen or had?
What is the strangest pizza flavor you have seen or had? Papa John's over here (which is still fairly new in the UK) is doing a range of curry pizzas at the moment. Over the weekend I had a slice of the Korma flavored version and it was actually nice even though it was strange. So, what is the strangest pizza flavor you have seen? |

				 | ...im pretty ashamed to say ive tasted something that could hardly be called a pizza. I was in the phillipines, and at a local restaurant they had pizzas that had spaghetti over it, and all sorts of sweet things too, not to mention pineapple as well... it was just a mixture of stuff that didnt get along on top of a pizza base. ...it was disgusting

				 | my brother worked in a pizza shop, and made an asian topped pizza called the tsunami. When i noticed it, the tsunami had devastated the south pacific and thought it was bad taste, but he said his tsunami came first. It had assorted asian vege's, and chicken. |

				 | When I was in high school I worked at a pizza joint. We were always experimenting so I'm trying to remember all the crazy things we did. One of the guys I used to work with used to always make ground beef and pineapple. I tried it once, it was strange but not as bad as you might think. |

				 | when I moved to LA back in 87, I worked in a gourmet pizza place in Beverly Hills for about 3 weeks called Patty's Presto. Best damned pizza I have ever eaten...EVER. The Pizza was take and bake. We had all kinds of weird pizzas..but one of the weirdest was a desert pizza with chocolate chips, and coconut and I can't recall what else...but that would be the weirdest pizza I have ever eaten |

				 | One place back in college was open in the morning so they came up with the Breakfast Pizza -- baked potato and bacon. Obviously the baked potato would be cut up into little squares.. weird at first but very good and a wholesome breakfast before classes (or skipping of classes).

				 | Yep...breakfast pizza...my family was in the pizza biz for years. We would head into the kitchen after closing (it was a bar too) and do some after hours partying. By 4-5am we were hungry, drunk, stoned and willing to try anything. The best one I remember was bacon and eggs with hash browns. We tried it again a few days later...sober...I'll just say that food always tastes better when you're drunk, stoned and hungry. |

				 | Being in the brick oven pizza business for a couple of years I had a chance to try out quite a few interesting combinations. We specialized in gourmet toppings like Grilled Eggplant, Carmalized Onions, Roasted Red Peppers, Sauteed Mushrooms and Fresh Spinich. We tried to stick to mostly authentic Italian recipes. The one pizza that was probably the strangest but one of the best tasting was what we called the Gamberi that was made with a traditional tossed dough, then spread with fresh made pesto sauce instead of marinara. It was then top with medium sized shrimp, peeled and de-veined, and sprinkled with a good helping of whole milk mozzarella... DELICIOUS!!! _

				 | i don't think i've ever tried anything really weird. the only kind of pizza that i've had that sticks out in my mind as "different" is hawaiian, with pineapple on it. but that's rather common.

				 | Apparently in Japan they do a lot of really weird things, pizza-wise. They have toppings like squid and corn. Seafood is a pretty common pizza topping there. I've never been there, but I read about it in a book I have then I asked a friend who lived there and he said it's true. My favorite kind of pizza is pepperoni with double chorizo and extra sauce, which sounds weird at first, but it turns out chorizo on pizza is addictive. It's really good. |

				 | I've had the fruit "Pizza" where it's a cookie based dough with sweeten sour cream cheese and fruits, but as far as a real pizza...well, I had one the other day from Trader Joe's (seriously, just grab a flight here, we'll spend a week buying/eating, then you can go back to the land of the foreigners and no good steaks ;) ) with feta cheese and Kalamata olives. It was WONDERFUL. |

				 | Not the strangest I've seen, but so far the strangest I've tried: Ham, cheese, onion, and mashed potatoes. Yes, they cooked pizza with mashed potato flakes (instant) on it. Other than making it even starchier, it was rather good.

				 | This might not be really odd, but I absolutely LOVE the pesto garlic pizza at Whole Foods. It has a pesto sauce and artichoke, sliced tomatoes, grilled garlic, greek olives and slight feta cheese shavings on it.
