When I first moved to the GVRD I had heard all about Davies. At the time it was supposed to be the really seedy area, hookers, gays, trannies etc. etc.. But whenever I was in the area I never saw any of that... I do remember the Denny's though.. went there a couple times.

I had lived there since 82 and the EX and I wanted a house so we ended up moving over to the Sunshine Coast.. It's only a 45 minute ferry ride away but I just never make it over to Van as there's no real reason... Plus I need some solitude... I love where I live now.. nice big yard.. family of eagles around here... deer wander into the yard... ocean is across the road.. and only 2 of the houses around me have full time people living in them... All the others are "weekenders" (who rarely ever come out) and houses purchased for retirement. I have been missing some of the things in vancouver though more and more lately like some of the broadway type shows.
