hmmm, I saw Canned Heat too . . . trying to remember if it was the same venue though.

Funny I was at the same show I think...I saw Judas priest a bunch of times. I don't remember great white's performance, my ex-wife loved them though...they were one of those bands I just couldn't get into. like Faster Pussycat!

My first show was Ace frehley and Alice Cooper but Faster Pussycat opened...I didn't bother showing up for them, I was told they were boo'ed off stage.:(

I've had some weird show experiences...this one was a crazy experience, I was 17, it was my first time that far away from home alone (like 6-7 hours) we decided to take a hotel room up in troy NY where the show was and drive home in the morning.

So, Three of us crashed in this little shitty motel, and in the morning we were woke up by sirens and the smell of fire...The building was on fire! burned down to the ground except the row we were in, and the stupid fuckiers thought nobody was in those rooms so they were shocked when we came running out...

Apparently they were used to filling single rooms for 3 hours (yes it was that quality of a motel) so the double rooms were usually not occupied. Pretty fucked up!:firehair

ZZTop, Rush, Blue Oyster Cult, AC/DC, Van Halen (first tour, opening act. Eddie had one limo with 2 girls, the rest of em had another haha), Journey, Nazareth and countless others.. so many good concerts from back in the day when tickets were $15 and cops just laughed at all the stoners rather than arresting them.
Good times.

None other than Huey Lewis and the News! With my Mom nonetheless. I actually remember that concert. He arrived in a helicopter and rocked it! LOL.

Although my first concert without my Mother was the Beastie Boys. Henry Rollins opened and the BB were awesome. I went to that concert with my first real girlfriend (she turned out to be a complete weirdo). Ahh the memories.

The first concert I ever went to was Nina Hagen at the Greek Theater. I think it was in 1985. The show completely changed my mind about opera. My grandmother had always forced it on me, and I hated it. After watching Nina Hagen sing a song from Carmen, I realized I didn't hate opera; I just hated my grandmother's singing.

I was at the Diamonhead Crater concert when I saw them - working backstage - in Honolulu - it was the same concert that had Fleetwood Mac and quite a few others over the two days - best part - for free :thumbsup

MÖTLEY CRÜE with Tesla after my very last exam of grade (sec 3 here). Boy, what a way to start the summer of your 15th year.

They opened with Kickstart My Heart('89) introduced by a laser show. AMAZING

Wow! A lot of great shows in this thread. I've been to quite a few over the years and managed to sneek my camera into some for a few shots.

Here's one of Blondie from a concert at the Sunrise Musical Center, FL
I'll see if I can dig up a few others.

I saw Stevie Wonder when he was the lead act for the Stones, Black Sabbath when they were the lead act for Grand Funk Railroad, Lynyrd Skynyrd when they were the lead act for The Who. The Clash when they were the lead act for The Who.

Lots of great groups. What's funny is when someone I saw in concert 30+ years ago is still touring.

Rock and roll forever.

Of all the groups I have seen in concert, ELP will always rank at the top for pure performance power.

Saw them at the Hollywood Bowl in the early '70's and it seems like yesterday.

Metallica with special guests Godsmack. They rocked the freakin house!
