2nd show I went to, I was at the show where they shot the video for Gun N Roses, paradise city. I was right up there in front and about 2 minutes in you can see me plain as day for like a second. You can't really see it here, but on the big screen it's plain as day. I had my 80's long hair and shit...pretty funny.

Most recently, my brother took me backstage at Elvis Costello. Better!

It was Feb 19th, 1977. Freedom Hall in Johnson City, Tennessee.

I was 6 years old.

The first concert I ever went to was Elvis Presley.

He was fat then, and he died 5 months later.

But it was such a spectacle that I totally remember that night. I was glad I got to see him.

lol I saw a show from that tour :) I had bought the debut Queensryche album they released on private label before they got signed. KISS was out of their make up (Lick it Up), and I had a girl on my shoulders who kept flashing Paul Stanley because she wanted to fuck him! LMAO God she was nuts. Fun though

oh yes I had my long hair from 12 to 17 actually, a kid rocker, weighing about 100 pounds way back then I had to look very creepy.

But I am listening to Guns n Roses since 1991 and of course I know the "Paradise City" video very well, how many people were there on that night? it really looks like 150 000 or something on the video.. incredible.

my own - I was by far as good as it got playing the fiddell. Eventhough most of the recitals, concerts, and theatre productions were not popular, they came to see me play an instrument i hated and do it gracefully. I just wanted my mum to stop schitzing out, so acheiving seemed to reduce the hell of a childhood she would have dished me, had i failed. I have never played it again, nor have i been home.

Well the meadowlands was packed and it was sick. During deep purple's "smoke on the water" they lit the stands on fire and like four rows were burning. then everyone jumped down from the seats to the floor and security couldn't catch them all. There were snapple stands toward the rear of the floor selling bottles of snapple for $3 a peice and the crowd completely mowed over them, so there were piles of snapple with everyone just taking it. the snapple stands were reduced to rubble. I believe The meadowlands arena banned open floor seating for concerts after that.

It was insane. There were ambulances lined up outside with all the people who had broken bones and heat stroke on stretchers and shit. And my buddy and his girlfriend got so wasted before the show that they lost their tickets and had to sit on the car for seven hours and wait for us, lol.

As you can see In that photo, I made my way to the front, and thought I was going to die. the crowd would lift you right off your feet. I don't know how I made it out alive, lol.

A local band just starting out called XTC back in 76/77.

Probably the first rock concert I went to - (I had been to some classical concerts as a child) - was either the Amboy Dukes or Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley - cant remember the timeline in the 60s that well :)
many concerts towards the end of the 60s that were free outdoor concerts at my college(American Univ) included Grateful Dead, Procul Harem, Richie Havens, Hendrix, James Taylor, Pete Seeger (he's the only one I remember from the Moratorium concert in DC), Allman Bros and many others
In Hawaii I had the opportunity to be working for the only music store in Honolulu and we provided equipment for the Crater Concerts in Diamondhead - I remember being backstage with Fleetwood Mac, Flo and Eddie, Robin Trower, Tower of Power and many more

You still have time to be good at something other than spelling. First medium-sized concert I saw was Max Webster at a local highschool.

First stadium concert was Genesis at Maple Leaf Gardens (Abacab tour).

Best concert by far was Van Halen in 1984 at Maple Leaf Gardens.

Twisted Sister at the Gemini a small club,it was right before they were signed.

George Harrison, Ravi Shankar, Billy Preston...sometime in the 70s with my old man at the LA Colloseum...it was kick ass and I was a little heathen that dug it...

I'll be 39 in December and I've never ben to one either. To be honest I really don't have any desire to ever go to one never have. And with the suckage of today's music I don't see me going to one ever.
