Something simple I came up with, this is for SE benefit not direct traffic. All links are one way. Am I on the right track?

I like the pooled effect, get a ton of sites to link to site a, then you take one of your sites and link to those sites that linked to your site a etc

rowan there is no proof to your statement regarding SE, Search Engine, benefits. A standard site map will offer the very same effect also as soon as you submit your website(s) to the different search engines and directories you are going to see your website(s) being crawled much more often also Page Rank is only good if you have your pages being properly indexed in the first place and are having their own sub domains for the search engines to index each page separately...

To test this idea of mine... check your pages to see if they are being indexed regardless of their PR... If the pages are not being index by the search engines but you have a super high PR then you are not getting the desired effects...

Go ahead and test...

Nothing really, I just used different colours to make it easier to see the "one" and "two" degrees of separation.
