I started getting bored almost 2 years ago. Same things are being recycled instead of anything new. Most have to work twice as hard to make half the money. I started into mainstream ventures and I daresay I'll be bored with them within 10 years too

Some people mistake burnout for boredom.
You need to be able to look at whatever you do with a sense of freshness every time, otherwise you risk falling into the doldrums. If you can't do that step away, refresh yourself and your outlook, and remember what it is you are trying to accomplish and why you chose to do what you are doing in the first place.
If the problem persists, then quite possibly you are not in the correct field for your personality.
There has been tremendous change in adult just in the past few years, and the future promises even greater change.
Maybe it is just what you are doing that is not fulfilling, in which case you may need to reassess your goals and move in a different direction, either in or out of the adult biz.

It's far more interesting "offline" and with a much wider range of possible avenues, tho even that is not what it used to be.
Not decrying, there are many very able and serious webmasters online, but generally is too damned easy for any wannabee with a computer - not that they get far - they just clog the net up for a year with total crap and then vanish until a new batch of wannabees move in. Then there are the scammers and leeches - sponsors with double standards and spyware and torrent associated idiots - this biz always was it's own worst enemy.

Adult ran out of true innovation about 5 or 6 years ago, and since then it has been a flat run to who can give away the most for nothing. So now not only is it boring, but it is nowhere near as profitable as it was.Comment

It's definitely getting boring and I'm switching more and more to mainstream. Too many scumbags and idiots, too much free stuff around, fewer people interested in real professional business every day.
My impression is that those who are smart look for business outside the industry before the shit really hits the fan.
Those tubes, torrents and sales stealing malware will be around for many years to come, the ammount of work invested compared to the $$$$$ got worse over the last years...there are better ways to make money than in adult.Comment

It has most definitely gotten boring but even more tiring is the amount of thieves, scammers, spammers, ex-criminals and trolls this industry attracts.
No wonder people think pornographers are scumbags. The reality is that most of them are.

Yes, that's the worst part, but it's up to all of us to make it the great business we want it to be.
Ethics and Proffesionalism can still go hand to hand with fun and party attitude that are a vital part of this business.
I don't fell such a need to work in adult particularly, but I do want to work with people i like in one of the most dynamic business environments around.
