The drawback I see is how much energy would it take for the RF to get going? How efficient is this?

One advantage: NO CARBON output.

LOOK I know you people are scientifically challeneged but heres the truth about this

as einstein noted energy can be extracted from anything...even saltwater

what these idiots dont understand is that the energy required to break the salt water into hydrogen and oxygen id far greater than the energy produced by burning the molecules

or put so that you can understand it it take 100 gallons of gas to make a gallon of fuel from salt water that will maybe get you a few miles to the gallon if you dont have air conditioning. and have a very small car.

Would y'all please use YOUR HEADS

Thank you

No uno I can tell that from first year physics

you dont need his RF Generator you can do it with batteries too an electrical Current will seperate the molecules from even fresh water into hydrogen and oxygen...I did that in 4th grade science.

but the energy required to break the molecular bonds is way higher than the energy produced by burning the results

God the educational system in this country is abyssmal

The only real way this is effecient is in a near perfect set up which I have seen a few.

They rely on solar cells, windmills, passive solar, geo thermal cooling and heating of the home. Now what is done is excess solar produced electricity is then used in the hydrogen production process and the hydrogen is stored on the property. It then can be used as a gas, or it can be burnt and converted back to electricity for the house. So it sort of is a electricty bank plus it can fuel your car. This is done mostly by the entirely off the grid people and not those who sell electricty back to the grid.

An analogy: you can make gold from lead... it's just not economically feasible to do so.

In much the same way, I'd imagine this process is not efficient enough to be a viable source of power... but maybe it'll inspire someone, and something'll evenutally come out of it.

I'm just saying I haven't seen any of the tech specs on how much energy is required to produce the RF waves vs the output of energy vs gasoline powered engines.

I have a plan to make this work. It just needs a little tweaking.

1. ????
2. Get salt water.
3. ????
4. Apply radio waves to salt water.
5. Use for fuel.

It's almost there. I'm just stuck on #1 and #3.

The energy used to obtain the salt water is also a factor.

But when it burns can it create enough energy to power the generators needed to make it burn and have extra energy left over to fuel something else?

So its harder to obtain salt water than it is to go to the middle east, have troops die protecting our interests while we dig in Arab soil to get oil, process it into gasoline? That's funny.

I can go to the shore myself right now and get salt water. It doesn't matter anyway, someone will adapt this technology to make the world's first Salt Water Fusion bomb, and we will be in a race with China to suck all of the salt water off the planet so we can have a bigger bomb.

In the year 2012, half the US will perish in Chinese S-bomb attack, the rest will have to learn Cantonese.

There are a lot of ways to "burn water", and I don't think that radio waves are any different than any of the other ways - they all take far more energy in that comes out. Problem is water is one of the most stable compounds on earth, (unlike gas or oil which is very unstable) and in fact when you burn hydrogen and oxygen, the byproduct is - you guessed it - water. It just doesn't make sense that you could take water, extract hydrogen and oxygen, burn it, and end up with water and more energy than you started with - no matter what the process is. Even in nuclear reactors, there is still a "fuel" in the form of uranium rods, which is used up and transformed into a different state as energy is extracted.

This is a guy in Florida using water for cutting torches and a car

There was also a real crappy video of some guy on one of the islands fueling some POS toyota car on water.

In all honesty it is not that hard to do and there are plenty of rebates and tax incentives offered to make it cheap.

Typically the average house uses about 50kwh or so (at least in my area) in a month. One just typically needs to produce more than that to sell it back to the power companies.
Yet it is best to go with both solar as well as wind. Since ussually when the sun is not out there is wind blowing, plus wind is producing at night as well. Not to mention the newer generation of solar cells that are coming out are near paper thin and even more effecient.

There is a guy not to far from us who is self sufficent power wise. Then to make it even better, he earns roughly 175,000.00 a year selling back electricty. He litterally can retire and use his property and house to not only maintain him yet provide him with a nice income. Though he recently upgraded a bunch of stuff so he is back down 500,000 in upgrades (before rebates and tax breaks), yet he said he is seeing a 40 percent increase energy production.

If you have a small stream on your land - think about micro-hydro. It's one of the most reliable methods of power generation, and when it's cold and raining a lot, you'll get the most power when you need it (heating your home)

He probably had wind power also. He had a huge farm in PA. Total hippy.

Ok seriously enough of this "oil companies" are going to or will kill some guy who shows you science that nearly every fucking text book has in it. The only technology they may be interested in really is batteries, and they dont kill you they buy you out.

You pass electricity through water you get hydrogen. You capture hydrogen and burn it as a gas. The waste produced is water. As also stated the energy put into getting the hydrogen out is more than the hydrogen gives you. In layman's terms its like spending a dollar to get 80 cents back.

Next someone is going to be like Oh my gawd look someone took paper, lead, copper, and lemon juice and created electricity. He better watch out or he will vanish.

ASM, as always, good points. Yeah, I know it's inefficient. But maybe the technology would be developed to make it feasible?
