Ok seriously enough of this "oil companies" are going to or will kill some guy who shows you science that nearly every fucking text book has in it. The only technology they may be interested in really is batteries, and they dont kill you they buy you out.

You pass electricity through water you get hydrogen. You capture hydrogen and burn it as a gas. The waste produced is water. As also stated the energy put into getting the hydrogen out is more than the hydrogen gives you. In layman's terms its like spending a dollar to get 80 cents back.

Next someone is going to be like Oh my gawd look someone took paper, lead, copper, and lemon juice and created electricity. He better watch out or he will vanish.
