for everyone that does not shoot high end magazine, sports, fashion or advertising this is a serious waste of money - imho

I still use MkI and MkII and could not be more happy with both of them. Never failed so far and the quality is awesome... Full frame rules

Droolworthy piece of equipment. Canon once again proved that they are way ahead of the competition. I'm currently the owner of the original 1D and it still kicks ass like no other. I may end up upgrading, this year cause MkIII is just one sexy beast :D

I own two 1Ds bodies.. never bought the mk II... but damn thats sexy..

That's the price point for the canon line $7999.95. I bought one of my 1Ds at that level, the other for about $5k and never complained about the price point on either. Well worth it.

I may get one of these as I was waiting for the next iteration of the 1Ds line.... Quality and resolution count.. absolutely..even when you downgrade to web quality, starting out with more information always helps.

mmmmmmm... I'm gonna have sexy camera dreams tonight.

I'm also eyeing the D300. I'd rather blow 8K on a robot at the moment.
