MaDalton 09-09-2007 02:30 PM

did you buy one?

for everyone that does not shoot high end magazine, sports, fashion or advertising this is a serious waste of money - imho

F-U-Jimmy 09-09-2007 02:30 PM

What the D-Max on that beast ?

tony286 09-09-2007 02:41 PM

its a very nice camera but would have to be doing alot more freelance work to justify the cost.

stop giving tony ideas :)

Kefir 09-09-2007 03:22 PM

I still use MkI and MkII and could not be more happy with both of them. Never failed so far and the quality is awesome... Full frame rules :)

I'm a Canon guy...my d30 kicks a whole lotta ass!

pornask 09-09-2007 03:27 PM

Droolworthy piece of equipment. Canon once again proved that they are way ahead of the competition. I'm currently the owner of the original 1D and it still kicks ass like no other. I may end up upgrading, this year cause MkIII is just one sexy beast :D

tenderobject 09-09-2007 03:35 PM

d3 and d300 are fullframe already right?

damn that lenses are fucking awesome 85mm f1.2 yum!

although am a nikon guy

everestcash 09-09-2007 03:36 PM

I'd rather buy nikon D3

Kevin Marx 09-09-2007 03:46 PM

I own two 1Ds bodies.. never bought the mk II... but damn thats sexy..

That's the price point for the canon line $7999.95. I bought one of my 1Ds at that level, the other for about $5k and never complained about the price point on either. Well worth it.

I may get one of these as I was waiting for the next iteration of the 1Ds line.... Quality and resolution count.. absolutely..even when you downgrade to web quality, starting out with more information always helps.

mmmmmmm... I'm gonna have sexy camera dreams tonight.

better wait until they resolve the focus issues. the word going around the PJ shooters is all bad right now about the 1D M III. big problems

Have you seen post on GFY about that cameras?

Steve Awesome 09-10-2007 06:15 AM

I'm also eyeing the D300. I'd rather blow 8K on a robot at the moment.
