Ron Paul is the only choice for president!!!!

He believes that the government should have no laws against an individuals right concerning their private use of pornography (with the exception of CP).

Here is his free book he wrote in 1988 about what he stands for and talks about his views... including on freedom of pornography.

www.mises.org/books/freedomsiege.pdf

Get involved, donate, campaign, vote in the primaries and make a difference.

A good place to start is at: ronpaul2008.com and ronpaulforums.com

Well then you better get yourself and all your friends and family to register as republican and vote for him in the primaries. If he was smart he'd drop out of the GOP race and go after the Libertarian nomination which he would easily get. At least as a Libertarian candidate he'd be on the ballot in Nov 2008.

I agree he is the only one worth voting for. The rest of them all stand for the same thing. It doesn't matter if they are republicans or democrats. Ron Paul is the only one that has a voting record to show he is not with them.

I am glad he is not the only choice, though I know little about him yet.
Now he may be soft on porn for now or whatever but damn there is a lot more to life than what the president thinks about pornography.

Not true. There are many choices of which Ron Paul is only one.

Granted, I'd like to see him make it... but you're a fibber.

The problem with Ron Paul, is he sounds great for about 5 mins. After that he's just like Ross Perot was.. he can't shut up and ends up showing you just how crazy he really is.

He's basically just a Goldwater republican. He'll never get the nomination. The repugnicans these days are all about TAKING the rights of an individual, not respecting them.

What is crazy about being a constitutionalist?

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

That's insane!!!!!

Besides, voting to stay out of jail seems like a pretty well thought out vote to me.

What's really funny here is how afraid everyone was of that "extremist" Goldwater back in the day.

Goes to show just how far to the right the Republican Party has moved in the last forty years.

you left out the fact that he wont even meet with lobbyists

Ron Paul is the right choice for America and I believe tthat the internet CAN get him elected.

Special interests shower both parties with money so the mainstream press tends to gravitate towards the biggest spenders on advertising as the "frontrunners" when the fact is that on the net ron paul is by far the front running candidate. Almost every household in America has internet access now and WE can make the difference....support Paul on your websites and encourage your readers and customers to vote for him and he CAN win.

Dude the guy is a fruit loop.. I liked him at first when I heard him talk a few times. Then after that he just starts going off the deep end. Like getting rid of the post office, and everything else under the sun. Not to mention he won't support any govt health plan.

Sorry I like the ideas for staying strict to the Constitution, but other than that his ideas suck.

He is also willing to let government ban abortion; not too libertarian. This is a pivotal issue for many people; unfortunately.

"I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn."

Much of the rest is admirable but tragically unrealistic in todays world. That said if I could I would vote for him, at least her would unplug the corporate interests and return the power to the people.

As he is a doctor I can respect his views on that, while I disagree on that point there are far too many other areas where he is right on the money I will not let the abortion issue cause me to vote for the rest of the idiots in this race.

Try as he might he won't get roe/wade overturned anyway, Reagan didn't

the issue of abortion should be handled on the local/state level and that is what he has said.

We already pay 50% taxes, how much more are you willing to pay to get government health care, that everyone knows will only make big business richer and over drug the people.

If you want out of the war, over turn all the unjust laws ie patriot act, lower taxes, less government, less internet regulations, and over all more rights to the people then he is the only choice.

If any other person running really said what they meant like Paul does they would look like the fruit loops! Everyone but Paul wants NAFTA to go through in full and there to be a North American Union. Are you willing to let that happen by 2012?

I do not hear the Dems bitching too much about the powers Bush has built for the president now that they have a real chance of getting a Dem in power. Dems and Rep all have the same AIM and are destracting you with lesser issues.

I have never seen anything about getting rid of the post office. What he actually said was he would legalize competition. That is not getting rid of it.

He wants to get rid of the Federal Reserve because it is just a bunch of private banks that print our money when there is no reason for them to be doing it. We then have to pay to borrow money they shouldn't have control of. That is where all of the income tax goes. That is why he could get rid of income taxes and not have a problem paying for what we have now.

I don't support government health plans even though I don't have health insurance yet. That will not help anyone in the long run except big companies that will get the contracts and even more taxes. You could easily buy health insurance anyway if you did not have income tax.

If only you had a clue.

Your interest in some political wannabee is fine - you have the baggage of electing "something". That has not been a good track record so far eh??

Mr Paul may be fine as a candidate - and may just even be an honorable man with some competence and ability. But please - don't rely on what he says prior to being elected - that is totally different to what he may do if elected.

Bush was the champion of smaller government?? Nuff said....

Sounds to me like he's personally against it, but ultimately its a states' rights issue.

famous ron paul quotes

Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the ‘criminal justice system,’ I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal. — Printed In Ron Paul’s Newsletter (but not written by him)

Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action. — Printed In Ron Paul’s Newsletter (but not written by him)

The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers. On the contrary, our Founders’ political views were strongly informed by their religious beliefs. — Ron Paul

The Founding Fathers envisioned a robustly Christian yet religiously tolerant America, with churches serving as vital institutions that would eclipse the state in importance. — Ron Paul

Through perverse court decisions and years of cultural indoctrination, the elitist, secular Left has managed to convince many in our nation that religion must be driven from public view. The justification is always that someone, somewhere, might possibly be offended or feel uncomfortable living in the midst of a largely Christian society, so all must yield to the fragile sensibilities of the few. The ultimate goal of the anti-religious elites is to transform America into a completely secular nation, a nation that is legally and culturally biased against Christianity. — Ron Paul

it's good to see the educated Americans on this forum speak on this! The rest of the world looks at America in a VERY negative fashion. You need change because your country is going down hill SO fast.

You people have wayyyyy too much faith in the intellect of the voters. Wake up, they are a mindless mass who face which ever direction they're told to face. Ron Paul will be the next president. It's not worth thinking about, because there's just not enough people with brains turning up on election day.

He LOOKS and SOUNDS like a president, and when you have an IQ of 50 that's what you are LOOKING FOR in a president. Unbelievable..

what? Paul gets no air time on TV and everyone is saying to vote for Rudy, Mitt or McCain on the Rep side. Was this sarcasm?

HELL YEAH! Although I'm a US Citizen, I live in the Philippines. Oh how I wish we have our own version of RON PAUL. The closest we have is Mar Roxas (I like his proposed use of liberal economics to fix the high cost of medicine here in the Philippines).

I can tell you Ron Paul is definately getting my vote. The Dems and Pubs will take the US down the toilet because they are the same guys. Until they take the money of washington the US stands no chance.
