IPhone users - Do you like your keyboard better than Treo/Blackberry keyboards?
Since you have had time to live with it how are you liking the keyboard?
It seems like the touchscreen keyboard would slow my typing down dramatically compared to my Treo keyboard typing speed. What's the verdict?

i like it - although you can't type by "feel" on the iPhone, you have to look at it... i've gotten pretty fast at it though... still frustrated about the fact that there's still no MMS feature on the iPhone

I hardly look at the KB when I type on it. I can fat finger the hell out of the KB and it still spells things right with the auto spell check.

I just picked up the new 8800 BB, and I have to say it has the best keyboard I've ever used (had 1 treo and this is my 4th BB version (gave my curve to my wife yesterday)). I've played with the iphone keyboard, and obviously its not as fast. Still a great smartphone, but I won't give up my BB. Infact, posting from it now

the iphone takes a bit of a learning curve, and it's slow at first. It learns your typing habits though, and actually widens the button of the next letter when predicting your typing habits. This makes things go MUCH faster.
I will say that girls with fingernails have been bitching about the fact that it's impossible to make enough contact with the touchpad. |
