Buying a Laptop...Suggestions?

I am looking into buying a laptop. As of now I am looking at the macbook for $1199. Any suggestions? I dont want to go much higher in price but would go as high as $1499. Any suggestions would help.

Thanks

Seriously, though... if you can afford it, spend a bit more and get the macbook pro. 13" is rather small if portability isn't your primary concern.

The 15" macbook pro is awesome. Fast, reliable, still very portable and has a great battery life.

Yeah, I decided that if I were to go mac, I'd have to blow the 2-2.5 grand on a macbook pro... if nothing else, for the graphic acceleration, which doesn't exist on the typical macbook.

Problem is, as I'm saving for a condo, I had preset my limit at 1500, as well... :-/

And then with PC... you have all the OS bullshit. I don't want to pay for another copy of XP - and I don't want to pay for Vista, either.

So, I'm left thinking that maybe I'll just order another battery for my old, 12 pound clunker and make due until something else comes along.

I keep telling people to check out http://www.sagernotebook.com/ Best laptops out there for the money and you can even order them barebones with no OS from retailers.

The 2090 fits your price and it's a great laptop http://www.sagernotebook.com/product...ed.php?pid=687
