Buying a Laptop...Suggestions?
I am looking into buying a laptop. As of now I am looking at the macbook for $1199. Any suggestions? I dont want to go much higher in price but would go as high as $1499. Any suggestions would help.

Seriously, though... if you can afford it, spend a bit more and get the macbook pro. 13" is rather small if portability isn't your primary concern.
The 15" macbook pro is awesome. Fast, reliable, still very portable and has a great battery life. |
Yeah, I decided that if I were to go mac, I'd have to blow the 2-2.5 grand on a macbook pro... if nothing else, for the graphic acceleration, which doesn't exist on the typical macbook.
Problem is, as I'm saving for a condo, I had preset my limit at 1500, as well... :-/ And then with PC... you have all the OS bullshit. I don't want to pay for another copy of XP - and I don't want to pay for Vista, either. So, I'm left thinking that maybe I'll just order another battery for my old, 12 pound clunker and make due until something else comes along. |

Macbook user here. I love mine and would suggest to anyone shopping to at least check them out.

Toshiba, I love it:thumbsup

buy a refurbished macbook pro from Apple. Go to website and see what they have. They come with full warranty....i know 2 people that went this way and have 0 problems.
I love my macbook! |
