torrents aren't ALL copywrite theft.. there's some very legitimate torrents..
however the large majority is pirated
..still.. not allowed to discriminate against minorities!

See thats the difference between V.G.content and you. V.G is actually doing something about a cause that he believes in. Now you on the other hand have decided to adapt as you put it and defend these people who are stealing from hard working people. So to sit here and mock VG makes you look like a complete idiot that your are. Now you better hope for your sake what ever you doing now works out because if don't no one in there right mind who runs or owns a reputable business will ever hire you. You will find yourself in the same broke ass position that you are in right now

Ya if I was able to get myspace accounts deleted and post lame slander / libel youtube videos Id be in a much better position to get a job in this industry. Amazing that you can use google to easily search for torrents. So go after google next... wait aff doesnt advertise on google... or DO THEY!! Go get em boys.

exactly. when i read people opinion on torrents, sometimes i wonder if they even know what a torrent is and how it works.

bands like Fugazi encourage people to trade their whole library of music, and is LEGAL to do so. Many bands encourage trading of their music - so now because porn site owners are pissed, the world should disable torrent technology?

Just because it's on a googlecode doesn't mean it's from google. Googlecode is an open source repository for lots of open source programs. Anyone can sign up and create a project.

Just like Redtube and megarotic is a repository for lots of porn movies. It doesn't mean the porn movies are from them, just as the torrent code isn't necessarily from google. But yet, megarotic and redtube are the bad guys.

I mean sure, you can get technical, blah blah blah...but on the whole, it's all the same shit. It will always be the same shit.

That is how our business works. That is how all business industries work. Nothing is clean, ever. The only thing you can do is pick who you do business with and hope you made the best decision. But you'll always have those few that will disagree. And usually the problem with discussions like this is both sides of the argument have valid points.

Yeah, but 99.99999% of them don't own the rights to their music, so no skin off their back. That'd be like a model encouraging people to torrent her movies (except unlike most bands she actually got paid a reasonable fee for her services).
