Googlecode isn't a repository of Google's own code, they just offer the facilities for people to make code and host it there, whilst providing chatboards, repositories and release information for the project people upload.

exactly. when i read people opinion on torrents, sometimes i wonder if they even know what a torrent is and how it works.

bands like Fugazi encourage people to trade their whole library of music, and is LEGAL to do so. Many bands encourage trading of their music - so now because porn site owners are pissed, the world should disable torrent technology? :1orglaugh

Just because it's on a googlecode doesn't mean it's from google. Googlecode is an open source repository for lots of open source programs. Anyone can sign up and create a project.

Just like Redtube and megarotic is a repository for lots of porn movies. It doesn't mean the porn movies are from them, just as the torrent code isn't necessarily from google. But yet, megarotic and redtube are the bad guys.

And i guarantee you that all the people who bitch at redtube and megarotic would gladly take google traffic.

I mean sure, you can get technical, blah blah blah...but on the whole, it's all the same shit. It will always be the same shit.

Yeah, but 99.99999% of them don't own the rights to their music, so no skin off their back. That'd be like a model encouraging people to torrent her movies (except unlike most bands she actually got paid a reasonable fee for her services).

theres more than just stolen shit, or legal music for that matter.. i know novell has an opensuse linux iso torrent.. probably saves a bit on bandwidth
