Toddlers, With Parental Consent, Can Marry in Arkansas
A mistake with the legislature this year in Arkansas has allowed a law to be passed allowing anyone, with parental permission, to be married.
Law makers in Arkansas left out the word 'not' and thus changed the language of their bill that was trying to set the minimum age of marriage to 18-years-old. A group that specializes in fixing typographical errors in laws was told they went beyond the scope of their power after trying to fix the gaffe. The law makers do not convene again until 2009. seriously though I doubt it would pass muster with anyone in the state who would be in charge of issuing a license. Plus, where the hell would you get a toddler sized wedding dress? And please don't show me websites devoted to that perversion, lol. |
