Smokers ready to quit smoking?

I've tried 3 times now.

first time was the gum (which tasted like ass, even though it was "organge" flavor, it still was shit)

second time (THE PATCH! wow great dreams, i would remember every dream i had, about 5 a night and would feel great in the morning, worked about a week but then i was too feeined to grab another cig)

third time(go back to second time)

Zyban is an anti-depressent and requires a doctor's perscription. Funny thing is, when I was on Zyban it was going to cost me about $70 a month, because the same insurance company that would pay to treat my lung cancer wasn't about to help me quit smoking. Pharmacist asked me if my insurance company would cover an anti-depressant;; when I found out they would, he called the doctor, got the script changed to Welbutrin (sp), and it cost me $30.00. Same little purple pill too, just a slightly different logo on the front.

Of course, I was taking Zyban, wearing the patch, and smoking camels (the little ones).

someone dared me to eat a pack of cigs one night when i was drunk. It was the most horrible taste i have eva experienced.... I havent had one since.

Smokes are god awful, I sympathize with anyone who has tried to quit... it is really a hard thing to do.

I would not recommend using snuff... It just gets you hooked even more on niccotine! (ex Kodiak user)

I quit cold turkey two weeks ago. Most of the urges and such are gone now, I finished what I was working on a few min ago, and got up and reached into my pocket for a cigarette, so i guess the habit is still there, but i really only think about em 2 or 3 times a day now.
