Smokers ready to quit smoking?
I've tried 3 times now.
first time was the gum (which tasted like ass, even though it was "organge" flavor, it still was shit) second time (THE PATCH! wow great dreams, i would remember every dream i had, about 5 a night and would feel great in the morning, worked about a week but then i was too feeined to grab another cig) third time(go back to second time) |
has anyone who smokes, read 'quiters inc'?
|
I did patches, and yeah the dreams were amazing... very vivid and real... like acid... great fun... but in the end i was smoking and taking the patch at the same time...
finally i tried zyban http://www.zyban.com/ It has been about 8 months since ive had a smoke (except a few drunken puffs) good luck |

zyban yes ive heard of it. but u need to visit a doctor to prescribe it right? |
and btw ya. vivid dreams man eheh
its weird how those patches work i wish i could remember every dream like that |
in australia u gotta go to the doctors for zyban, its an anti-depressent...
after a week or two u lose the craving for a smoke.... totally different thing to patches only side-effect i experienced was that it made my moods swing a bit |
I've done the patches, quit for about a week on them. I'm going to start using them again pretty soon and if that doesn't work i'll prob try zyban.

I am smoking right now. I don't see myself quitting. Maybee I just need more head? Head would be good. mmmmmmmm head

Zyban is an anti-depressent and requires a doctor's perscription. Funny thing is, when I was on Zyban it was going to cost me about $70 a month, because the same insurance company that would pay to treat my lung cancer wasn't about to help me quit smoking. Pharmacist asked me if my insurance company would cover an anti-depressant;; when I found out they would, he called the doctor, got the script changed to Welbutrin (sp), and it cost me $30.00. Same little purple pill too, just a slightly different logo on the front.
Of course, I was taking Zyban, wearing the patch, and smoking camels (the little ones). |
smoking is for the weak.... think about it
|
I've tried cold turkey twice...arghhhhh :BangBang:
Zyban twice but each time it got easier....gonna try Zyban again soon :thumbsup |

|
I stopped for about 2 months cold turkey. But i'm back now :(
|
someone dared me to eat a pack of cigs one night when i was drunk. It was the most horrible taste i have eva experienced.... I havent had one since.
Smokes are god awful, I sympathize with anyone who has tried to quit... it is really a hard thing to do. I would not recommend using snuff... It just gets you hooked even more on niccotine! (ex Kodiak user) - UglyOrange |

I quit cold turkey two weeks ago. Most of the urges and such are gone now, I finished what I was working on a few min ago, and got up and reached into my pocket for a cigarette, so i guess the habit is still there, but i really only think about em 2 or 3 times a day now.
