Siggraph Show in San Diego was awesome
I saw:
3-d TVs without glasses. 3-d mice for working with Photoshop and Google maps. Gloves that worked in CAD programs to reposition parts onscreen. A table top that was a monitor screen that you could move objects by touching and dragging with your hands. Animation techinques that you can no longer tell the chacter is animated. The skin is perfect. The Emerging Technologies had all kinds of new robots, interactive devices and communicative media. Lucas Arts, Pixel Magic, Disney and the major game companies were all there strutting their stuff. Good show to see what lies in the future. Redrob |
