anyone ever use passport expedite services?

Can you really get a passport overnight as some of these companys offer?

Anyone used any of these with results?

Thank you!

If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Although I do know that they do have people who constantly are in line at the main passport office and get it done quicker, but I am not sure about overnight.

I did get one in 3 days but it was a British passport from the embassy in DC. Arrived like 4 hours before my flight! Overnight with all the new US security measures seems a bit unrealistic. If that service is offered you should be able to do it yourself through the governments website.

When I got mine several years ago I had to use the "fast" option. I didn't use a company, I went to the main post office in the the city I lived in and gave them the papers. It took about 2 weeks to get it but cost an extra $50 or $60 . For me it was worth it because I couldn't wait the normal 10-12 weeks it takes.

I got mine overnight. My last job paid for it, and it was pricey. But...it did arrive within 24 hours.

I got mine expedited to 5 days, but if you have a REAL emergency, and go to the main location where they make the passports, you can have it done in 1 hr.

I can only confirm this for Sinclair Center in Vancouver

Used it two weeks ago to get my son's friend a passport so that he could go on vacation with us.....it worked exactly like they said it would and it really was not that expensive.

I have gotten mine same day before, you have to physically goto a Passport Office:

http://travel.state.gov/passport/abo...ncies_913.html

You have to be traveling within 14 days in order for them to accept your rush application in person. But I have gotten it within like 2-3 hours at these passport office in DC.
