Ummm... that is not what you said... receiving stolen property is on thing and being paid for a service is completely different..

BTW... here is what you said:

The difference here is he received stolen money. If you received stolen or laundered money on your bank account, you would have to pay it back as well.

I told you fuckwits and asshats MONTHS ago that epassporte is a bunch of fuckers. They would rather go after honest users than fix their own system.

HELLO EPASS
Deploy a simple email verification on each payment.
PROBLEM SOLVED

I think it is time to hit up a couple of banking buddies and see if we can't launch an HONEST and SECURE online payment system.

What does epass and AceHardware have in common?

To the uninitiated outside observer it seems like a simple solution. One would have to wonder why epass has not solved the "security" problems. In any other industry, if you had users stealing form other users you would find a solution PRONTO - unless you had something to gain from looking the other way.... hmmmmmmmm

I would tell them to fuck off! This company has too many problems to be reputable and all they can say is I am sorry or they won't answer legitimate questions.....

I really hope someone opens a great dependable program with good customer service. Epass obviously lacks these qualities.....

That is not correct, if you buy a tv in good faith it becomes yours. Laws are made to protect the consumer, at least in the usa.

Of course I would want them to go after PimpingJ since they have his private address, but since you received the money, and the money "was fake" or what you call it - then they can do what they did.

Its like if you buy a stolen TV and the cops find out. They will take the TV and you don't get your money back. Its of course hard for you to know that these money was stolen, but its the risk you take when dealing with people like that.

Im sorry. Your situation SUCK - agree, but Epass did what they can and should do.

Thats the most ridiculous analogy ever .. #1 this is cash not a tv.

if a criminal stole a t.v. , sold it to some scumbag and made $500 , then used that $500 to eat at mcdonalds , they arent going to ask mcdonalds to give the cash back

#2 how come when anyones account is emptied by some thief epassporte NEVER gives the money back ..

stolen merchandise is stolen period , doesnt matter if you bought it in good faith or not. but were talking about cash not an object

Don't get me wrong, Paypal is a flaming pile of monkey shit, but they are still a million times better than that fucking bush league operation Epass.
O realy? Then tell paypal to return 1743$ which they take from my account without hesitation. They just sended me generic message "be careful next time".They even didnt dare to write normal answer.

As a p2p transfer you can't get hit with a 'chargeback' but you sure can get shafted by them clawing back funds. And how deep does that go? If someone pays me $1000 and I then use $999 of it to pay someone else, then refuse to give it back like this guy did, do they go after the person I paid next and tell him he has to give the funds back?
Yes i was notice people with bussiness account have big problems with epassporte chargebacks, frauds etc..Well atleast chargeback cannot affect personal account, only stolen credit card as it happen in gangbangjoe case.

Gimme a fucking break. It's EPASSPORTE's job to detect fraud UPFRONT, when the account is opened.
Once you allow someone to load money, send it to someone else, and then allow that other person to withdraw the money, it's done, it's over.
You should have caught the fraud on the way in, not weeks after the fact.

Epass is gonna go down soon anyways, they way they're allowing U.S. citizens to fund gambling accounts with their service is gonna be the end for them.
Well tehnicly you are right, they should demand documents not just for aditional credit cards, they should demand for each credit card included used one for opening. On alertpay you cant add credit card until you send them requied documents by e-mail.In any case, this is big problem,it's not specificly epassporte or paypal issue.I think most responsible for this is credit card industry who should be finaly implemented better security and that chargeback feature should be canceled since i dont see point of that except commiting fraud.Until that is happen,is best to stick with e-currency proccesors which can be funded only over wire,so that eliminate chargeback and stolen credit card effect.Only way to lose money is then when someone hack account, but even that can be resolved with few simple security add ons like pin which should be requied for each sending.

First what are all the fees for that we pay besides to line the coffers of this company?
Second many of these issues can very easily be fixed via some very super cheap methods.
Third why did I have to jump through 200 hoops to get my account open, including verifiying amounts, dealing with verified by visa, etc.
Forth when someone somehow takes every penny from my account why do I not get my money back? Specially when I know it was not some phising or wrong url.
Fifth why do they take the public stance of not getting envolved in P2P transactions, yet when they may be out some cash they get very envolved?
Sixth is why can they not email you when they decide to lock your account whenever they feel like it.
Seventh is aside from Michael, why is it their support can not do a single thing and are only good at sending out form letters, hanging up on you, or not having enough phone lines to accept all the calls despite them being unable to answer or fix a damn thing due to lack of authority or ability?
Eight, why do we have to have this same sort of thread almost every two weeks?
Nine, to all the epass users who only jump into epass threads to say how much they rock I am glad for you. However for a good percentage of users there seems to be constant issues.
Ten, please someone open something else up.

Michael (ePassporte) (09:09 PM) :

now tell me this isn't a fucking JOKE???

on a side note: thanks to michael for your time and support. seems like you are the only professional part of epass.
My epass and Splitinfinity's epass was suspended because of PimpinJ as well.

Sorry, you're wrong. It's the merchant that has to pay back the money, plus a chargeback fee. If the bank reversed stolen transactions with their own pool of money then you'd never see a chargeback with a negative amount in your ccbill stats.

If the merchant has already shipped tangible goods then it's a double hit: they lose the physical goods, and also the payment for them.

This is why epass are attempting to recover the funds from the original poster, as the bank has reversed the fraudulent CC transactions, meaning epass has had to pay them back.

IMHO epass should accept some responsibility in this instance, because they authorised the CC transactions. Part of the excessively high load fee should be used to fund a pool to "internally" recover fraudulent funds.

yeah this is what i was kinda confused of... epss verified the stolen cc (allegedly) then the guy load money from that cc.. means that epass verified it so theyre the one who should shoulder it cos it was their fault. why verify an account with suspcious details/id etc? i don;t get it.. epass deducted 157$ i have on epass that pimpin_j sent me from 4 months until the last one.. fucking bullshit.. i talked to split joel. looks like epass done something wrong with this. still waiting for michael....

Can you check exact time difference between load and deduction? Is it more or less 4 months. Also,if it was realy verified card with documents then that could consider as epassporte mistake.

they just deduct the money yesterday or 2 days ago just to unsuspend my account. i told michael to get the money pimpin_j sent me from the first transcation up to the last june 22nd.. i think the first transaction we had was from a banner design which is 4/5months ago.

here are the transactions

22 Jun 2007 US$xx.00
22 Mar 2007 US$xx.00
11 Mar 2007 US$xx.00
05 Mar 2007 US$xx.00
11 Feb 2007 US$xx.00

how can they just pull the money from us in the first place when it was their fault that they verified the account of that allegedly stolen cc... wtf???

look at what split_joel said

Both Splitinfinitys Epass and My epass was blocked. Mine will be back on tommarow, it was a mistake on Epass part and Pimpin_J account has been turned back on to. He is no scammer, and we do not allow such spamming and or scamming on our network.

if you are asking about the time when pimpin_j load money from his cc.. epass doesn't want to disclose it.. too funny eh?

Well hope they declare they were wrong quickly because I charged back on paypal to pimpinj, and if this was a mistake by epass there is going to be some serious issues.

WTF?

Visa and MC have avg of 6 months time for chargebacks .. Only Amex allows upto 12 months and in very rare case 18 months.

how on earth you got hit by chargeback after 14 months? Bullshit or what?

so there is the way to block all epassporte network:

1) fund new account with $20k from cc
2) send $20 to every epassporte id you can find
3) charge $20k back

your account will be blocked for fraud and all accounts you sent money to will be blocked as well
