Do you use HD DVD or Blu-ray? Porn will decide the war.

    Interesting Article

The HD DVD format seems to be the popular choice by people in the porn industry. The indusrty also has had "plenty of help from backers of the format, including Microsoft Corp. and Toshiba Corp."

This is funny, it looks like blu-ray will lose out because Disney and Sony are uptight:

that backers of Blu-ray have long resisted such an approach, because one of them, Disney, "maintains a policy against having its own movies replicated by any company working with adult movie titles."

This set back most mass production of Blu-ray porn, because Sony prohibited its large pressing facilities from doing adult titles.

As a consumer I use neither, because I don't want to end up with a beta-max player in a year.

I'll wait for it all to shake out or at least for a player that plays both before I buy anything.

They have them for like 3 grand. I agree though, I'm not buying either yet. I'm a DVD collector too but I stopped buying them earlier this year. There's just no point.

I have both. I usually buy based on title and then price. In most cases, I've ended up with HDDVD discs, as they usually offer a bit more...like dual format for playing in SD on regular DVD players...and cost a few bucks left.

I'm not concerned about which one will win. I'll continue to use them. Still have the Laserdisc player hooked up in the office.

                  Spend you some brain.

the player that plays both costs about a grand..
can get a ps3 and 360 for that..

no matter who wins.. i'm still keeping my 1800+ regular DVDs.

Blockbuster announced recently that they were going exclusively with Blu-Ray for rentals. No HD DVD. Which is pretty bad news for HD DVD if you ask me. =\
