It sure does sound like a good match for her. But as a non-pet person, can someone explain to me wtf a "Rehoming fee of $250" is? The whole ad sounds like family pets that are being given away, until the for-sale sounding twist at the end.

There are a few schools of thought on this. The point of the rehoming fee is make sure the person can afford the animal. It works as a filter.

When giving my living will to my Dad and brother, I asked them how they were going to make the decision if I had gone completely mentally over the edge. My Dad said "Pug #5".

All 4 got out a few weeks ago (actually they didn't "get out", I propped the gate open then worked for an hour, thinking they weren't smart enough to figure out how to get out). All 4 were found in different places. My neighbors would shit if I had 6 that could possible go missing!

I DID however forward that to the local pug rescue group - keeping pugs outside in this 90 degree heat??! There are no "cool" spots for puggers in the summer in ATL.

Rescue groups charge adoption fees (like shelters do) to try and recoup some of the costs of taking care of dogs before they're adopted out, but I've not seen an individual charge a "rehoming fee". But maybe this is like the car business: instead of having used cars, they now have "pre-owned".

Don't you and Mandy need to expand your litter?

There's got to be more than 3 pug lovers in all of the USA.

I'm sure they'll find a good home.

For me one good-sized dog is fine.
