Hello

I was the main Adultwebware developer during last 2,5 years.

Nick disappeared two months ago without explanation.
Unlike previous time (in April), he has not tried to contact anybody in team.
During that time he did not clear the debts and did not support project infrastructure.
Some servers already turned off for non-payment.

Not me not anybody in team expect that he will return to clear his debts and to solve client problems.

I will try to resolve any technical problems that i could. Please email to [email protected]

I see it's not easy to understand me. Sorry for my terrible english.

I'll try to make another attempt to explain situation:
1. Project owner, Nick, has been disappeared.
2. Some servers already was closed for debts.Main adultwebware.com server are working for this moment, but it going to be close in any moment.
3. All project staff already working in another projects for two months.

This is NOT an excuse from Adultwebware. There is no such project now, i think.
This is excuse from the people who works hard in this project for you. We are sorry, but we can't fix this situation now.

I don't know, really.

For last 3 months this project wasn't make any move.
For last 2 months none of us(or clients i know) have contacted by Nick.
Anyone from staff members already work in other project. We will not break current liabilities to return to the man who dont pay us and disapear.
Some of our development servers was already shutted down.

What can we wait for?

it would be Nicks responsibility to do so, this guy is going out on a limb to help & he's just a developer... he has no responsibility to anyone but it is very nice of him to try & make things right

basically from what he says, AWW is washed up, management dissapeared and the project can't be supported (programmers don't work for free)

pretty lame of the management there to just up and leave like this

I have contacts only for 2 clients and answer their questions all this time.

I don't think it was so easy for Nick. He was hospitalizied with cardiac problems in April and was returned to work for a week. But he was disappeared again. We don't know what happends.

First of all, you should offer a patch to bypass the licence thing. I'm sure a lot of people would pay to save their business.

If any current clients of AWW have to reboot the server, they are screwed. This is a major issue we had a few weeks ago.

Secondo, do you have the source code of AWW since you were a programmer?

The last time Nick contacted me is after his month at the hospital to get our 'pre-paid' project going. We requested a refund ($1000.00) which never happened and he wanted to sell the source code for a few thousands.

I have dealt with him for too much time to trust that guy. A lot of talk, blah blah and no actions. He likes the money and don't give a shit for anything else.

The sad thing is I'm sure that if he contacted his clients to tell them he would leave the business and offer the source code for a cheap price ($1000/$2000) a lot of people like us would have paid for it and be grateful to get rid of him at the same time.

And one more thing, Farik. If there is no such a company/project as AWW anymore, perhaps you can provide us with the source code of your system? It's impossible to do a shit with that Zend-encoded scripts we have installed on our servers, but I believe the decoded PHP scripts will help a lot.

I see, and I haven't blamed him personally. I just thought he may have access to the source code. At least he has written a part of it

So, when the AWW server goes offline, will all the members areas stop working?
All instalations installed _BEFORE_ October 2006 and working in _THIS_ moment will work after head server shutdown.

I have a list of a sites which CAN be affected by server shutdown(but not all in this list will be affected). This is sites which was installed AFTER October 2006.
I don't like to publish this list here due to security and privacy reasons.
I have tried to check these license activity on main server, but some sites can check their licenses on replication servers, witch already disable FTP access due to debts. Whithout FTP access i can't apply this test.

So at this moment i ask owners with installations _AFTER_ October 2006 to tuch me over email.

I can resolve any technical issues for you or make new installations for you. I can give you a contact of integrator, but he wasn't paid for this project and he can't work for free.
And i couldn't return your money, sorry.

Yes, of course i have all source codes.
And i think that "a lot of people" will wait for source codes published by someone who will buy it for $1k. I think that i will receive not more than $5k on this action, but this amount is insufficient even to clear Nick's debts to staff.

There are only two ways i see:
1. I'll sell all source codes to someone who will make new project with "basic support for adultwebware clients" and clear Nick's debts to staff. I don't know what to do with Nick's debts to clients because anybody can say that "Nick owe 10k to me".
2. If there is no offers that can clear debts - i will publish source codes to close this disscussion.

I for one would also gladly pay for the source code.

I love AWW, but the support was never there, and as someone pointed out earlier, he (Nick) was always around to make the sale, but it was a pain to get him on support issues.

I use Xtract Members Area management, like a few others and the owner of that script has disappeared over 6 months ago now.

Might be time to let that source code loose too.

If I remember correctly, they had an option where you could buy the source code version for like $500.

I think also that this would be the only fair situation as we paid LOTS of cash for the software and it never worked properly. Give the source to clients so they can develop/solve their problems themselve.

Sorry, but it looks fair only for clients.
I have developed this script for 2.5 years. And for the last year Nick have been increasing his debts to stuff day by day.
We have spend much more time and money(which we still not receive from Nick) than anybody else(exept Nick i think). Integrators, who made the projects, which was solden by Nick, do not received money for their work yet.

I think we paid enough for Nicks faults, and we also want to offset losses somehow.
Is it fair? How do YOU johannes, think?

I think you should sell the source code at a fair price, that way you can cover some of Nick's debt and offer a solution to the clients at the same time.

I'm sure a lot of people using AWW prefer to buy the source code over switching their whole database (which is a lot of trouble) and pay for a new script at $3000-$4000 or even more.

BTW fair price doesn't mean cheap price. It must be expensive enough to make you happy. Also, the clients that would pay for the source code would only use it for themselves, so you can sell at least 10+ copies. You can easily get over $20,000 if you do it right.

I have the source code. There are some people using it who don't.

I've tried contacting him through his new site and no answer. Hopefully he will return.

hello again to everybody

sorry for the silient period without answer in this topic.
Nick has been returned and i have no reason to declare anything here by myself.
Open letter was published by him in topic with id 12813522 (sorry i can't publish full url to topic due to forum restriction)

Now for the indigo, johannes and everybody who writes me with source code requests. As i said below i have no feeling that we can handle situation AFTER somebody will receive AW source codes. The only situation i have desribe before is to sell source codes to TEAM which can develop and support this code in the future. For now any source code disscussions was finished. This is Nick's project and he will decide what to do

johannes, please check your spam filters. I have send you email(17 july) and haven't receive reject by mail server. Probably this mail was moved to trash as spam on your side.

For now all license and replication servers are working well. There is no need to anybody to worry about their licenses.

Fuck aww

Johannes just go here: qinvent.com/cyrj/dezender/index-en.php
and then pay to get the files unencrypted.

It cost a total of $100 to "dezend/decrypt" all the aww files and after that you can modify or add to existing code.

I used the "dezender" and as written it can decrypt the code 100%.
From their site:
Quote:
deZender is the software that specially used for to decompile/decode PHP files encoded by Zend Encoder/SafeGuard, ionCube, or SourceGuardian. It mainly use cryptanalysis, decompressing and decompiling technology to decode an encoded PHP file into readable, executable PHP source code.The decoded file can 100% perform the same functions of the original file.
You paid for the aww script and there is zero support from the Russian guy so u will be way better of having the source codes when he decides/have to stay away again for a few months.

him and his 1 man "customer support"!

Let him keep his source codes and dont pay him $500 even if he is willing to sell decrypted source codes when you can do it yourself for $100
He dident setup the support for his customers so in case something happend to him it wouldent hurt his customers buisness. He is a 1 man show who dident/dont give a shit about the customers after he gets their money so just fuck him and part ways with him. Dont give that dude more money!

Note: If you want cheap programmers to redo or add new functions to the source codes after they have been decrypted go here and get a really hardcore cheap programmer: getafreelancer . com

Some servers already turned off for non-payment.

Not me not anybody in team expect that he will return to clear his debts and to solve client problems.

I will try to resolve any technical problems that i could. Please email to [email protected]
That suck!

I’ve been to hospital in total of 2.5 months (due to the cardiac issues – I would take my right to be under medical anonymity and will describe details no further than that), excluding a short one-week pause. And if AW was a public company, I could have found the stocks prices dramatically lowered after my rehabilitated return. When you are laying in a hospital bed with a dropper enabled into your vain, you have rare chances to think about what happens upon your return “to the real world“. All you do is sleeping. I’m damn sure that was for the better, because after those procedures you get a crystal cleaner sight to the problems, issues, and to the new ideas to solve these. I have totally overworked myself – working too much wasn’t good for health – now I want to live a “normal” life, doing job I like and taking systematic rest to obviously live myself.

I must, just have to admit that AW really have had no luck delivering support to the people who became owners (or it would be better to say – shareholders) of such a great product, the AdultWebware 5.0 (which I believe really is the one). During the last two years our general concern was to re-develop the engine, create a totally new platform which would allow us to release the brand new, very easy-to-use and handy downloadable products, yet keeping an ability to accept rare projects just to feed ourselves and stay alive. So far we had our doors closed from the public, not available for instant download license agreement, stable features list and other documentation. It is quite understandable that this might have been a reason for many people to hate AdultWebware (AW please, not AWW), express negative feelings upon their customized installs with no description to the templates system, not the overall usage docs – just because the product was evolving weekly. Just a week ahead and it (the AW) was something new, which required renewed documentations and demos. It was impossible to create those until the product is totally ready. It’s our shame that we have not enabled the dynamic documentation system for public access, and that would be the first thing to do in the nearest future.

Doing one hundred percent custom for each and every respected Client during the recent 2 years drove us just 180 degrees backward from our initial destination – to deliver a highest quality product and the high level services to support it. We did refunds to many completed custom projects, even though it was clear in the specs and initial agreements, that once we take a job, we do it until total completion, with no refunds made at any rate, in any case. Every cent we were paid was used to pay the crew and sometimes refund former projects (not good for any business I must say). The rate of successfully accepted projects was low, yes I must have said that just now. That leaded our team to the debts quickly. I understand that and do apologize for the mistakes I’ve made our team to have. I want to use my chance to recover and have the mistakes fixed in our future attempts to deliver the new products (maybe easier ones for the start) with better support, and better pricing. Most likely, we would try that in co-operation with any other company(ies) which would want to give us their hands of help and support. Possibly, we would evolve to something new. The time will show the best option.

If you think you want to collaborate or report about your issues you might be having with your AW installation(s), please do not hesitate to contact awsupport [at] gmail . com

I do appreciate your reading and I hope you would give us a chance to become better, complete the simpler-to-use product(s) and deliver better support. I hope, that we will be able to do ourselves better than we did by now. We will try to hurry slowly now (only if you would like to allow us to do so). We should evolve.

Johannes,

Have your programmer use the free demo for verification that it really works

On that page in the top he can upload a encrypted file and see a instant translation to real source php.
By adding a encrypted file there from the aww source code you will see only a part of the result (as its a free demo) like this:

Quote:
Result on file:
<?
/************************************************** *********************/
/* */
/* This file is created by deZender */
/* */
/* deZender (Decoder for Zend Encoder/SafeGuard): */
/* Version: 0.9.5.1 */
/* Author: qinvent.com */
/* Release on: 2007.6.11 */
/* */
/************************************************** *********************/

/*** please purchase a DEZ service if you want to get all source ***/

{
fputs ($f, '"' . str_replace ('

}
