yeah, they put Denmark 1986 on the list, but they forgot the 1986 World Champion Argentina, the 1974 world champion and 1972 european champion Germany, the 1990 world champion Germany...another bullshit biased list.

If Holland should be on that list it should be 1974 or maybe 1988, not 1970

I remember that team from Argentina, and frankly I don't think they should figure on the top 10 list.

Denmark 1986? ...of course they shouldn't be on the list, they got beaten with 5-1 by Spain at that Cup

Simply because those teams were very solid but not with a bit of class, beside Beckenbauer, Germany 1990 was the worst team of Germany, they had way better teams.

Solid teams as Germany proves can win the World cup.

that list sucks....Where's the ajax team in 95/94 that won every single price
there was to win? What about Barcelona who won the same the year after
with ironically the 80% of the ajax team of the year before?

Holland squad of 74 losing WorldCup finalist against Argentina?

they should have name the list "the most spectacular playing teams" because great in my vocabulary means the one that wins playing great. Germany was runner-up in WC 1966, 3rd in WC 1970, won the European Cup in 1972, won the World Cup in 1974 and was runner up in the European Cup in 1976 with the same coach and group of players. If that's not a great team, well...

..and, trust me, Germany 1994 and 1998 were far worse teams than germany 1990, ask anybody who knows a bit about this sport.

Great football means also team playing, tactics, strength and devotion, not only who scores from 40 meters because the goalkeeper is an idiot. Ask any football player or coach.

Barcelona didn't win shit in 1996. Juventus won the Champions League.

Holland lost in 1974 against Germany and in 1978 against Argentina. They say that the 1974 team was the greatest dutch team ever.

I agree with Ajax 94-95

well could be that it was 97 when barca won all with Louis van Gaal as their
coach. Star players at that time: Kluivert, Reiziger, Overmars, Rijkaard, Bogarde,
Hesp and a few others which I can't recall right now

Borussia Dortmund won Champions League in 1997 after a final with Juventus. Barcelona won the Cup Winners Cup, the 3rd european competition. At the time, Real and Atletico in Spain and Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Real in Europe were the shit. Sorry. That "Ajax reloaded" Barca did never reach the success of Ajax or 1991-1994 Stoicikov, Romario and Cruyff's Barca. It was a good team, though.

Teams that impressed me the most were more or less on the top of champions league at their time:

Barcelona in their season when they lost to AC Milan - Stoichkov and Romario were the most exciting attacking team I can remind of

Ajax in 94 / 95 - all the players there became superstars in the 90's

Juventus 95 / 96 - Every player a strong personality, I believe I would still be able to put together the starting lineup

Manchester United in Cantona years - huge collection of personalities, Keane, Steve Bruce, Giggs, Schmeichel etc.

FC Valencia at the break of 90's / 00's - incredible pace, skill and counter strike football

Just to name a few. Of course I cannot comment what I haven't seen personally, but I believe those rankings are quite sensible from what I could see in TV documentaries.

That was some of the worst finals I saw, Ricken's goal was amazing but I can remember they tallied three goals from four attempts at goal! Of course I fancied Juventus, but Del Piero was not enough to beat them that evening.

damn you're right no idea how I thought they won all that year. I've visited
practically all of their home matches in Nou Camp.....I guess I wanted them to win
them all

Yes, if it was the most extravagant teams then Rangers with Gazza could land a place over there, such a talented player with permanent black outs.

Man i remember the final in 1994 in Athens i was there, Stoichkov and Romario didn't touch one ball against Filippo Galli and Costacurta.

That was one of the best final AC Milan has ever played , With Van Basten and Baresi out of injuries, that was Capello's Masterpiece.

how can they place Celtic (one time Euro cup winners) above Liverpool ( 5 times Euro cup winners) Celtics team of the day won it once, Liverpools team of that time won it 3/4 times around the same period

fuck me i just noticed Tottenham (1961) are above Liverpool too.. .

makes this list not worth the effort IMHO

what about Liverpool 2001 they won three cups that year..

I think the fact Celtic were the first British team to ever win it probably counts for something here.

Could be wrong though...

fuck me i just noticed Tottenham (1961) are above Liverpool too.. .

makes this list not worth the effort IMHO

what about Liverpool 2001 they won three cups that year..
The league, the FA cup and the CL right?
oh no, that's right, they won the FA cup and 2 mickey mouse cups

The amount of cups won doesn't matter according to the list, that's why Nottingham Forest isn't there for example. It's just the most exiting teams, which is why Liverpool isn't very high up the list

Well if the most exiting team then how about the most exiting cup finals EVER

UEFA cup 2001, Istanbul 2005 and FA cup 2006 ..

or type in to google "greatest football match ever" you get four Liverpool games on first two pages.. enough said.....no

or how about someone else's opinion Liverpool 5 Notts Forest 0 described by none other than Jackie Milburn as " The best team performance he had EVER seen"..

face facts Liverpool are the most succesful club team the UK has ever produced and have played in some of the greatest games ever seen..

AC Milan came from behind to defeat Sevilla FC 3-1 in Monaco and claim the UEFA Super Cup for a record fifth time on a night which served as a fitting tribute to the memory of Antonio Puerta.

AC Milan made an impressive start to their European title defence with a convincing win against SL Benfica earned by first-half goals from Andrea Pirlo and Filippo Inzaghi and tempered only by Nuno Gomes's last-minute effort.
