Anyway, a person who is healthy will be more productive, his/her family will be more productive, they will not be a drain on society, friends or family, or their employer.

Stress also is a major cause for sickness. When a person is stressed the body can't heal itself as well. The sole fact that people have to worry that they have enough money in case something happens to them, or that if they have no money and something happens is enough to make a person not be able to heal themselves when they may have been able to under different circumstance.

Yeup - there's alot of evidence around now to strongly support the theory that "stress" can be a "trigger" to other life threatening maladies.

Simple economics show that the best answer to 99% of problems is a capitalistic for profit system. The ONLY time public funding works is if it is a resource everyone uses and it is too difficult to force payment from the users.

TRUE......

1. Not everyone in the US can buy health insurance even if they have the money if they have pre-existing conditions.
2. Not everyone with health insurance gets what they pay for, did you ever read the fine print in an HMO contract?
3. You the tax payer do pay BIG $$$ for uninsured who go to emergency rooms because it the only place they cannot be denied treatment. That is the most expensive treatment you can buy.
4. Socialized may not be the best system but the current system is not good and the programs in Canada or the UK are better than what MOST Americans can afford.

I am glad the upper crust can afford better, don't worry if you earn big bucks but the masses do not.

Should be looking at Sweden, Denmark and Norway if you want study socialism.

I'm all in for a private system competing agaisn't a public one.

We need workers from all social classes for the economy to run well. The poors are feeding you in some way.

On a more serious note, for those who have not seen the movie. It isnt about the kind of coverage the rich people get versus what poor people get...

The movie is more about people who THINK they're covered since they have a job with health insurance. These are the people who'll leave with the most amount of concern after watching the movie.

Socialized medical systems don't pay doctors enough money so they have to bring in arab workers who end up trying to explode cars at airports.
