My very first overclocking venture was with an AMD K6-2 400 @ 450. It just got so hot, couldn't push it a lot. Next was a Celeron 500 @ 613, following by a Celeron 566 @ 1018 MHz. I used a peltier and some huge ass GlobalWin heatsink and a 120mm fan

Yep. When the temperature goes down, so the the impedance of the interconnects. Allows the transistors to switch pretty fast. I'd like to see that thing last in a game however. P.O.S.T. doesn't mean too much.

I got my 1ghz athlon at 1.4ghz (bios upper limit) and my 1500+ at 2000+. My laptop is not overclocked.
