I don't think you'd feel that much after spilling, hehe. It's simply amazing how far you can push those CPUs though. Anyone overclocking around here ?

I used to be a hardcore overclocker back in the old days. Had my 200mmx running @ 293 mhz. And when I got my amd duron 700 I had it running at over 1100mhz the same day. Damn I was cool having a system running over 1 ghz those days :) But no days I don't bother with those things anymore. Cpus are so fast that you would just use much time to gain little performance. My xp2100 is just fine as it is :)

My very first overclocking venture was with an AMD K6-2 400 @ 450. It just got so hot, couldn't push it a lot. Next was a Celeron 500 @ 613, following by a Celeron 566 @ 1018 MHz. I used a peltier and some huge ass GlobalWin heatsink and a 120mm fan :winkwink: Currently I still have my Dual PIII 700 @ 933, running like a charm :thumbsup

Yep. When the temperature goes down, so the the impedance of the interconnects. Allows the transistors to switch pretty fast. I'd like to see that thing last in a game however. P.O.S.T. doesn't mean too much.

I got my 1ghz athlon at 1.4ghz (bios upper limit) and my 1500+ at 2000+. My laptop is not overclocked.

Hehe sure thing - hit me up on 155421 and we'll talk :)

HQ - they actually had the same processor run at 3.9 Ghz stable, running PRIME95, SETI@HOME, and Quake III loops and it didn't break down once. What do you expect, having a CPU at -192 deg. Celsius ? :Graucho

I would love to get my hands on one of those Vipochill units, drool :winkwink:
