Anyone an expert on converting windows 2003 mysql to work for a linux box?

If you can get me in the right direction let me know. Had a screw up by soon to be old host and killed everything but my mysql database folder that has data bin and library folders and files. I need to convert it over so my other host that I use linux on can import the data back in so I can get some forums and blogs back up. Tips? links? Anything you can do to help me out is appreciated.

that's actually for mssql, so not quite what he needs

i would say use mysqldump to export your databases. if you're lucky just copying the files in the data folder might workd too

If your previous host ran MyIsam tables your new host can probably just copy the files as they are into the new DB location and it will work, however if they ran InnoDB you're probably screwed more. Hit me up in the moring, I can probably convert it for you to a mysq text file, which can be used to import it again (icq 13605110) I approved your account BTW on http://fuckinhorny.com
