Chris Benoit and family found dead

WWE is sad to report that Chris Benoit and his family have been found dead in their home. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Tonight's Raw will be a tribute to Chris and his family.

I don't think this is fake, if it is that is really fucked up.

I'm googling for it now, trying to find out more. The munchkin is at his dad's this week, and he called this morning for me to go online and see who won at Vengence last night. The story on that particular match that Benoit was supposed to be in said that Johnny Nitro fought as Benoit was out for personal reasons.

Like you, I don't think this is fake. Faking Vince is one thing, but this is something all together different.

Bubba ( www.btls.com ) broke the story about 5 minutes ago. He called another wrestler on the phone who confirmed the bad news. It is not know how it went down.

It's not fake. My old roommate, that used to wrestle with Chris in ECW, just called me and told me the news. If you are a wrestling fan, his wife Nancy was "Woman" in WCW and ECW and "The Fallen Angel" in the old Championship Wrestling from Florida.

He rushed home last night before a PPV match for a family emergency. And now they're saying him and his family were found dead. Absolutely tragic. Benoit was an amazing wrestler and a Canadian legend.

damn you talkin old school now. Gordon Sole, dusty Rhodes, Black Jack Mulliagan ah the good old days. My dad was one of the beat guys back in the days so i got to go to all the shows for free.

Its weird me and you were just talking about Chris Benoit the other day too. Its a very very sad day for wresting fans and the Benoit family...

Benoit was amazing. There are just a handful of guys in WWE who can actully wrestle. I'm talking amateur style wrestling. He was one of my favorites.

He will be missed

I grew up in Ft Lauderdale so I used to go to all of the shows at the War Memorial Auditorium and the Miami Beach Convention Center, plus the old West Palm Beach Arena. I was a huge fan of Kevin Sullivan back in the day and his Satanic gimmick, and Nancy Benoit was his wife at the time.

I still have an old program with Chief Wahoo McDaniel's, Barry Windham's, and Jimmy Valiant's autographs on it, and another one with Scott Hall's autograph when he was first breaking into the biz and had the Hulk Hogan handle bar mustache.

Something seriously fucked up had to happen if he flew home from the PPV last night for a family emergency and now he and his whole family are dead...

So sad, He was only 40 can't wait to see what happened. He was a hell of a wrestler and one of the few that tried hard each and every time he went out there. Seen him wrestle a handful of times in person and he was a hell of an athlete.

Ah the good old days Kevin Sullivan, The Boogie Woogie man, Billy Jack, One Man Gang, Black Bart, Ron Bass and so many others. We were at the armory in Tampa and traveled a lot to the Eddie Graham sports center in Orlando. Speaking of the Graham's 2 years or go i seen Mike Graham and Dusty Rhodes put on a match and it wasn't pretty lol

Yeah something big went down for him to leave like that and now this. Sitting here watching the show and what a emotional show it is

That was definitely my favorite time period in wrestling, along with the World Class/Von Erich era. As a kid growing up I thought for sure I wanted to be a pro wrestler. I had a wrestler for a roommate for a couple of years and got to hang out backstage at a lot of the shows, then later helped promote a few shows and was involved in a few other wrestling ventures. Seeing a lot of what went on backstage and on the road really soured me on the biz and damaged the hero worship I had as a kid, which is a terrible thing to lose in life...
