We use it from time to time. the general chat is encrypted, and that is nice.

Skype rocks because:

IM better that ICQ - no annoying alerts
better emoticons
good quality free P2P telephony worldwide
insanely cheap calls to landlines and cells
supports 3 way (chat, not sex)

Agree - use is prob four hours a day for telephony alone for Slype 2 Skype calls, landline calls and conferencing

ICQ is good for some stuff, but talking sure makes things go alot faster
