"You know it's true. SUV drivers tend, more than any others on the road, to be aggressive jerks. And New York Times reporter Keith Bradsher's new book, "High and Mighty: SUVs -- The World's Most Dangerous Vehicles and How They Got That Way," proves it.
As reported in a superlative Washington Monthly article that quotes extensively from Bradsher's book, SUV owners tend to be, in part, more selfish, self-centered, narcissistic, insecure and vain than their car-driving brethren. Oh yes they do. And the research backs it up."
There's three in my neighbourhood now. They're all driven by soccer moms. One drops her kids off at the elementary school in her H3. Otherwise the poor kids would have had to walk a whole five blocks. Ridiculous.
I find it funny that what our military uses as their POS daily trainsportation has now become the must have item. I remember when I was a seventeen year old Marine we would abuse the fuck out of those things.....
I don't like them at all for several reasons. I don't like the shape, there useless gas guzzlers and they have a status attached to them which is of wealth which in honesty is a load of crap cause most ppl who drive them don't own them.
Thats just my 2cents hehehe
I drove one for like two weeks last summer and quite enjoyed it. But I'd never buy one.

After seeing several pics of "Hummer vs other vehicle" post-accident shots, I've come to regard them as over-rated and overpriced. There was one shot of what appeared to be an F-150 and an H3 and the truck had way less damage than the hummer.
They look like they should be as solid as a tank, but they really aren't, yet they are priced as if they are.
I'll pass.
But getting a hummer I have no problem with. Nothing so fine as a good hummer now and again I say.
Because the study takes into account every aspect of the production process, hybrids like the Honda Accord Hybrid have an energy cost of $3.49 per mile. Compare that to a regular Accord, at $2.18, or a Hummer H3, at $1.98, and that green vehicle taxes the environment more.
I've had an H2 for 3 years, 50K miles on it. Never had 1 problem with anything. Pulls like a champ, i've pulled 12K+ pounds with it with out much stress at all. I get 11mpg average, better on highway ofcourse. Big SUVs like Suburbans etc... don't get much better then 11mpg, so you might as well bitch about the 13 - 14mpg vehicles while you are bitching about the 11mpg since there really isn't much difference there. Living in an area that floods I like the ground clearance and the fact I could go through about 4ft of water with out it stalling. I also use the 4 wheel drive which has saved me in more then a few occassions. It basically pulls almost as good as a Dually Diesel Truck but I still have the luxuary of a nice SUV.
Unlike most people I use mine and I never wash it. It is more of a work vehicle. I like when I go to the caddy/hummer dealer for oil changes, they all get a kick at how dirty it is. Everyone else that brings them in looks like they never went off road with them.
To each thier own. I think it is kinda sad to hate on vehicle, nothing better to do with your time ? Let's go start a thread about motocycles, loud as shit, can't stand when they rev up the engine and you can't hear youself think 3 blocks away... na I think i will leave them along as I have better things to do with my time.

I just can't figure out why anyone needs a vehicle that size, unless they need it for serious offroading somewhere.
Let's chat again when gas prices go through the roof...
I love my my h2 - best car i've had! most fun i've had! and most likely I will get another one when my lease is up
gas doesn't bother me
i enjoy off-roading with it
size is perfect
power is great
all you jeep owners and haters can kiss my dick
I take my H2 to the rocks, dirt, mud, and go everywhere I want to go, then stop at a car wash, then still pimp it at the clubs and on the streets with my 22's - try doing that with you gay ass jeeps.
I've had an H1 and an H2. A few corvettes and BMWs. A few real race cars, some other toys as well.
I grew out of that shit. Once you race a $7500 gokart that will blow away anything else you've driven, you'll realize that cars arent nearly as fascinating as you once thought they were.
That and I've driven 14,000 miles in the past two years so I dont see the point in spending the money on shit like that anymore or paying the insurance on it. I currently drive a 2005 Ford F150 FX4 that gets 11 miles per gallon, and I only need to fill it up every 3 or 4 weeks. I bought it brand new 2 years ago and I'll probably keep it till it has at least 60k miles which should take another six and a half years at the current rate.
Let's chat again when gas prices go through the roof...
Through the roof ?? i thought they were already through the roof.
no worries here I can afford it. Most of the people bitching in here probably average at best 22mpg vs my 11 mpg So i put 15,000 miles a year and burn 1363 gallons vs your 681 gallons. You spend $2,000 a year in gas I spend $4,000. Its all relative. I don't have any and wont have any kids. My foot print on this earth will be much smaller then yours even if you drive a hybrid if you going to have 3 or 4 kids... moral of the story, don't breed if you really want to save the earth. You will be doing more damage than me in my H2.
