epassporte - THANK YOU!

I decided to take a week vacation with my epassporte card only. $0 cash in my wallet and no other credit cards...

To be 100% safe I first contacted epassporte telling them my card will be used in another country for a week, they took a note about it. Michael told me I should not have any problems at all. I trusted him.

No problems at all! (Well two double charges at the airport, but this is not epassportes fault, they settled the transactions via a different merchant account and the funds should be credited back I was told).

Been with epassporte since day one and never had any problems.

Thank you epassporte!

You're a brave man to go on vacation with just an epassporte card, I'd have taken a debit and a credit card and a wad of cash as backup.

I have yet to decide if this is incredibly brave, or incredibly stupid - such as marinating oneself in steak sauce, and taunting a pit of vipers.

Either way, I guess the rope didn't snap.

Kind of ironic when someone has to start a thank you thread because their card actually did what it's supposed to...

ROFL... exactly what I was thinking. The card is SUPPOSED to work. Why the fuck would you thank the company for providing the service that you are paying for?

I have had some issues with a certain bank´s swipe terminal here in Venezuela.
I can´t pay at McDonalds with epassporte hehe...good thing I don´t eat that shit often.
And most swipe terminals recognize it as a debit card and not a credit card and I have to enter my pin number.

I thought it was a debit card, no?

just because it has a visa logo, doesnt mean its a credit card

Dunno, I remember reading somewhere it was a credit card.
Over here it depends pretty much on the swipe terminal. Some recognize it as a credit card others as a debit card.
With that said, this mn is really brave.Everytime I try to buy something on a POS I get nervous thinking it´s gonna bounce
It takes ages for the terminal to get the reply from the bank.

It is a debit card, and I wouldn't keep 25 cents in it. As soon as I get money in Epass I transfer it to my bank account immediately. Anyone that has lost money to Neteller can tell you it is stupid to keep any money in a payment processor that processes online gaming transactions...

I´m working on getting my US bank account. It sucks having to make an ATM withdrawal at the official exchange rate of Bs.2150 per dollar when I could sell my dollars on the "parallel market" for Bs.4000 per dollar at least.

maybe I should start making thank you threads everytime my visa credit card doesn't get rejected....when I go to my fav restaraunt and pay using my credit card and it goes through I don't call my bank the next morning and offer to buy them a nice present cause their card actually did what it was supposed to do.
