Why I never do upgrades - Fucking WMV 11!!!!
On all of my computers Windows is set NOT to auto update. I never update drivers, I never update with recommended security patches or upgrades, nada. I also surf without any virus protection, security system and no longer use spywear protection.
My system never crashes, it doesn't lock up, I don't get viruses and my machines run smooth as butter 24/7. ICQ goes down from time to time but that's it. Today I got a message saying I should upgrade to WMV11 and how cool it was. I knew better but my friend who is a nerd said I needed it, so I got it. Now my machine is totally fucked and hardly works at all. I uninstalled it, rebooted and you would still think I'm on the verge of blue screen. I knew better. Time to roll back to a restore point.  |
