Anyone know if Aleks is training with Fedor again? I know he got pissy over Fedor's honest comments of him being lazy and having no training ethic.

Here's my favorite Aleksander vs. Ricardo Morais is one of MMAs best KOs. I'd post the link but I don't have 30 posts - it's on Youtube.

Fedor's student Kirill Sidelnikov is going to be a beast some day. He has a fight on Youtube as well.

valetudo, I don't know if they are training again, but Fedor will be the referee for Alek's new fight.

A couple weeks ago Fedor talked about fighting his brother in an interview (making a comment about the fact that his brother talks about it non stop).

I've heard he responded to Aleks mentions of it. That would just be +1 to another string of bad decisions by Aleks. I'm hoping Dana caves to Fedor's demands and we get Fedor vs. Gonzaga, Arlovski, Werdum and a CroCop rematch.

You train Dr. Dre? Canada has a few great places I know of.

Fedor would definitely hand it down to Aleksander. There's no question, it's just sibling rivalry thing, Aleks has something to prove, but hell, I don't think he's got a chance. Nor do Arlovski, Werdum, or Gonzaga if you ask me...

I have an intense feeling Arlovski is on a downward slope, his 15 minutes are up. I'd like to see otherwise, because I do like Arlovski's fighting, but my faith is spread pretty thinly there.

I think the most solid opponent Fedor could face is Cro Cop. Sure Fedor's already beat him once, but it was a decision, so what did we really see? This would be an excellent rematch...

Mirko's loss to Gonzaga was nothing more than a poor performance on his part. He seemed to have come out sloppy. Perhaps he came in cocky, with the "UFC fighters pos eno threat to me" mentality. I don't know but he didn't seem to have the intensity in that fight that he usuallybrings. I fully expect Mirko to come out and devastate in his next fight.

Either way I don't think Gonzaga is near the caliber of Fedor.

Anyone have any news on the condition of CroCops knee? Are we going to be waiting a while for his next fight?

Shogun is a fierce little fucker, I always enjoy his fights...

Apparently Dana made mention to a Wanderlei / Liddell fight possibly coming up soon. I sure hope so, there's nothing I love more than watching Chuck Liddell get his ass whooped. If Pride and UFC start interchanging fighters more freely, Chuckie is in for a real awakening. He was sitting pretty comfortably unchallenged in the UFC, but he doesn't have what it takes in my opinion to stand up to some of the guys fighting with Pride...

CroCop didn't train with a cage and from personal experience(only in training), the difference is huge. At a professional level, the difference will be drastic. And at a professional level, that's a really amateur and cocky mistake. CroCop's ankle is fine now.

I don't think Gonzaga is Fedor's level either but only a few people are. Gonzaga's grappling credentials speak for themselves and his wrestling is legit. He's a big dude with a good chin and KO power. Watch his fights against Brandon Lee Hinkle, Scherner and Werdum if you haven't. He's as legit of a contender as anyone else in the HW top 10. Realistically, only a few have a chance to beat Fedor and I don't expect Gonzaga to be one to do it, but he shouldn't be overlooked because his KO over CroCop would never happen twice. I just wanna see Fedor fight.

I do think CroCop is still the most logical matchup for Fedor.

That sounds like a sweet gym Dre. I've been training since 2001 or so, had one of the best trainers you could ever expect to find in southeast USA. He was actually head instructor at Hayato Sakurai's Mach Dojo before moving back home after getting hit by a car while riding his bike through Tokyo. Unfortunately he had to move his gym to a different city and it's a 60-mile one way drive for me. Driving there isn't too bad but driving back after 2-3 hours of hellish training is a different story.

100% Agreed. Even though Chute Boxe's claim to fame is ferocious striking, when Shogun hits the ground he's firing off subs as fast as he would be throwing knees from clinch.

haha, same here. I'm glad to see Rampage dethroned him. There was no way Chuck was getting the KO in that fight. Rampage already ate some of Chuck's hardest punches in their first fight and didn't slow down a bit.

Definitely. Dan Henderson, Wanderlei, Shogun, Rogerio Nogueira, Arona, Rampage isn't gonna be quite the same as Tito, Babalu, Jeremy Horn, Vernon White and Randy. I'd like to see Sokoudjo go past Round 1 before speaking on that. All are good fighters, but with the influx of the Pride 205, Chuck's pay checks are going to be coming a lot harder these days.

Henderson is an amazing fighter, same with Nougueira, the caliber of fighting that has been in Pride for years is far superior to what we've had in the UFC, but I suppose that's all go change now.

As for Sokoudjo, I have to admit he really impressed me when he came up big against Noguiera, but I can't make any assumptions as I haven't seen any of his other fights.

I don't think Crocop can hang with Fedor AT ALL.. in fact I think crocop is just about done, his time has passed. If you want to beat Fedor your best chance is with Nogeira or some other top flight grappler. You don't want to stand with him and you don't want to end up on bottom.

Aleks looks to me like he has all the potential in the world, a very dangerous man with quick hands and a lot of power. I think if he trained harder he would be devastating.

WTF are you talking about? CroCop is NOWHERE NEAR done. One weak performance and all of the sudden "he's done"? If he went round 2 with Gonzaga I highly doubt the outcome would be the same. If anyone has a chance at taking Fedor, it is Mirko hands down, certainly not Nogueira. I think we've already proven that. Hell, he's already lost to Fedor twice now, do we really need a 3rd fight? Mirko deserves another shot at Fedor long before Nogueira gets his run...

I will give it to Noguiera that his grappling is tight, and it's won a lot of fights for him. Especially his armbar (damn near a third of his wins all together) including his win over Mirko, and a win over Dan Henderson among others. But, I don't think it's going to stand up to Fedor. I think it's going to be a powerful aggressive striker who eventually dethrones Emelianenko, someone who can pull off the KO. CroCop can do it.

Actually, after thinking about it, I'd like to see CroCop and Nogueira do it up again first before I see either of them come at Fedor again...

Im with you on the Crocop against Nogueira re-match. None of them can take Fedor though unless they get lucky somehow IMO

Mirko also looked very weak and overwhelmed against Mark Hunt. I could be wrong, no slam against Crocop, but these guys with rare exceptions have a short shelf life at the top of their game, and I think Mirko's may have expired.
