CroCop didn't train with a cage and from personal experience(only in training), the difference is huge. At a professional level, the difference will be drastic. And at a professional level, that's a really amateur and cocky mistake. CroCop's ankle is fine now.
I don't think Gonzaga is Fedor's level either but only a few people are. Gonzaga's grappling credentials speak for themselves and his wrestling is legit. He's a big dude with a good chin and KO power. Watch his fights against Brandon Lee Hinkle, Scherner and Werdum if you haven't. He's as legit of a contender as anyone else in the HW top 10. Realistically, only a few have a chance to beat Fedor and I don't expect Gonzaga to be one to do it, but he shouldn't be overlooked because his KO over CroCop would never happen twice. I just wanna see Fedor fight.
I do think CroCop is still the most logical matchup for Fedor.
That sounds like a sweet gym Dre. I've been training since 2001 or so, had one of the best trainers you could ever expect to find in southeast USA. He was actually head instructor at Hayato Sakurai's Mach Dojo before moving back home after getting hit by a car while riding his bike through Tokyo. Unfortunately he had to move his gym to a different city and it's a 60-mile one way drive for me. Driving there isn't too bad but driving back after 2-3 hours of hellish training is a different story.
