Rock The Ball - Which artist would you like to see (finalists)

OK, keep in mind we don't have a huge budget this time around for Kid Rock or other big names like that. Unless sponsors want to step up now!

The ones that fit the budget are:

Anthrax
Ted Nuggent (but he might be slightly too much)
Eddie Money (most hits people will know)
Bo Diddley (Hall of Famer)
Chris Cornell (from Soundgarden & Audioslave)
Ratt
Fishbone (already did them for a Ball years ago)
Slightly Stoopid (Sublime like, up and coming group)
Violent Femmes
Smithereens

Anthrax would do a kick ass show but the Violent Femmes would be pretty rocking also.

p.s. Where is my players card and big woody?

would have to go with either 'thrax or the Nuge...

Fishbone is pretty damn good too

While those performers listed fit the budget, are they actually up for playing at the Ball?

And if we went super hard like Anthrax, do you think we can hold the crowd and rock out?

Or do you think for those who don't like hard music, they will leave?

My philosophy with the Players Ball has always been fuck it, I like it, so it should work. But I still try to book shows that the majority should like.

But with rock, it's different.

Ted is out of the running, he just came back with a much higher price since it's an off concert tour date.

But all of the rest are serious.

Yea, his solo shit would put everyone to sleep, and quick. Anthraz would put on a killer show that I think everyone could enjoy, and I've heard good things about the Violent Femmes live

Decisions decisions...

Also, to all of those I hit up for advice recently, THANK YOU!

I've been calling people and icq'ing looking for a measure on this.

Rap shows are easy, but figuring out a rock act for this budget is tougher.

Realistically, that one might happen.

I'm going back and forth with agents now.

But I'm keeping an open mind, so feed back is welcome.

From those listed I say Anthrax followed by Chris Cornell (if he does Soundgarden tunes)!

Like Webair Mike suggested, see if you can get Dream Theater! ;)

Looking good D$

Chris Cornell or Anthrax. Maybe Anthrax though as they are more upbeat and will keep the party crankin.

Anthrax woud rock, Femmes are good second choice. Fishbone rocks but not as hard as they use too. I saw them two weeks ago and fricken Dirty the lead singer was so drunk he tripped over a speaker fell backwards yard sailed and his pants fell down. if funny shit like that can be promised I might change my vote. Also D please remove smithereens I saw them by accident last week I thought they were a cover band playing before Boogie Nights played it was no cover band, one word geritol.....

The issue is, money.

I'd love a ton of others before these options, but they're all well over $100k to book.

At least with the options I'm showing, we can lock any one of these guys right now.
