:tongue Mike Tyson is a fucking god [video]

This is the best Mike Tyson video I've ever seen, you gotta watch it all. This guy floors big beefy boxers with left stomach shots - with gloves on. Whats funny is knowing that he could easily knock out any of the UFC/Pride fighters in his prime if he got a punch in bareknuckle.

No matter how much trash is talked about Tyson, he is and will remain a legend.

Had never heard that press conference before, very interesting to see that Mike actually had thoughts of his own

Dunno..Im no boxing expert but Tyson never really faught 'smart' boxers, most tried to punch it out with him. When he did, he lost to guys like Holyfield and Lewis, granted he was past his prime. I think Ali in his prime would be Tyson in his prime, because Ali was one of the smartest boxers of all time and had something that Tyson never had...heart.

That was a great clip. He has done what he wanted in life as he said he wants to just live his life and have people remember him. Personally I will never forget the better days of his time in boxing.

Mike wasn't the best pure fighter from a "scientific boxing" standpoint.

He was definitely the most powerful puncher.

He was also the most exciting since Ali. He carried the sport on his back and it hasn't recovered since his fall.

If he was a MMA fighter in his prime he might get his ass kicked down on the mat but I would bet he truly would have killed a few people with his punches.

Hate him or love him he owned the era..

Dont let the last years of his career define him. In his prime, smart or dumb he was the man.

In his prime, there was no one to compete with his power and speed that he actually posessed. That's all he relied on. That had more to do with who was available...not his dominance. Professional boxing is an artform. Hollyfield was a light heavyweight and beat the piss out of him because he was a better boxer. He couldn't cope with a top class boxer.

Lewis was a true heavyweight and crippled him. All because they were better & smarter boxers. Hollyfield punished him far too much. That should have been stopped sooner. The lewis fight should have been stopped sooner. He was just being tortured.

He'll never compare to Ali or Marciano or Joe Louis. He just wasn't smart enough. Part of professional boxing is intelligence. Watch the fights. Watch lewis and hollyfield literally destroy him. He wasn't over the hill. He didn't have the technical skill to adapt to truly great fighters. He got confused and was dominated and I think punished way too hard for his sins.

They beat him beyond the pale and it was uncalled for because it's good for ratings to see someone suffer.

Tyson was a great fighter there's no doubt and it's a shame he got thrown to the dogs and brutalized when his people had to know he was outclassed.

I feel sorry for him. He got beat to death so promoters could get rich. There was no one to say toss in the towel because they're better. They just looked at him as a money train. Tyson was over when "Cus" D'Amato died.

I don't believe this nonsense...Tyson may not have been a technical boxer but in his prime and in great shape (which he was not in for either of those fights), he would have won against each of them. And you can't honestly say that Evander Holyfield is smart, that guy is dumb as bricks. He was trained to be technically sound and all that training allowed him to not have to think during that fight, routine took over in that fight...and the head butts didn't hurt either, that's why he got his fucking ear bit off!

Tyson had time to train...didn't he? He bit his ear off because he was getting his ass kicked. When he didn't bite Hollyfield's ear off - what happened? Tyson didn't train for that fight? Go back and watch the corner coverage. In each case, their trainers are telling them exactly what to do. Hollyfield, Lewis listened to their trainers...Tyson didn't. Who won?

Lewis did what a fighter does, he held and followed a gameplan - both resulted in tyson getting destroyed. He lost. They beat him half to death.

You ever actually watch the Lewis fight? Tyson tried every chance to headbut. He got knocked fucking silly by a heavyweight that understood the jab and the art of boxing...by a better class of boxer. It's reality - both ended with tyson looking like a poster child for spousal abuse.

Yes I was a huge Mike fan, a shame the way his career went with the ear biting etc etc. I think with his speed, watching the last couple big fights on UFC, he would be too quick for the floor fighters to get to him, I think in that early form he would annihilate anyone in the ufc. If you watch the current big fights on ufc, they tend to stay upright, like the chuck and quentin fight, was all upright, if that was mike he would have killed either of those two!
Miss you Mike, you were the greatest killing machine Ive ever seen in my generation!!

Having time to train doesn't mean he trained as hard as he could/should have.

He bit his ear off because he was tired of being head butted and the ref not doing anything about it. Granted he lost his focus because of it and was getting beat, but the head butts were the cause of all that. He's known for head butts, watch what he did to Rahman. Head butted his ass and caused massive swelling on the side of his dome and they had to call the fight because of it.

You said that Holyfield is a smart fighter, which is nonsense, he was an obedient fighter--his corner told him what to do and he did it. He didn't figure out what to do with Tyson, his corner did.

Even with all this, Tyson's motivation, focus, and physical fitness were never the same after Cus died.

If you watch the current big fights on ufc, they tend to stay upright, like the chuck and quentin fight, was all upright, if that was mike he would have killed either of those two!
Miss you Mike, you were the greatest killing machine Ive ever seen in my generation!!
Agreed...if he would have trained take down defense like Liddell does he could fight the same way and whip just about anyones ass!

I said after cus died he died he went to shit...that's a non issue. Tyson never was a technical fighter. He relied on power and speed...period. You like the guy, so do I but when he had to face true boxers, he couldn't handle it. He got crushed by a light heavyweight. there's no denying that. Hollyfield destroyed him - he beat the piss out of him and took his shots. Once disqualified and in the next he tko'd him the 11th. He faced lewis who was a true top tier heavyweight and he brutalized him. It was sad to watch.

Tyson will never rank as one of the top heavyweights. He'll never compare to ali, et al. Ali could fight going backwards. He'll never compare to marciano/louis. He was great when he fought berbick and a bloated spinx. He just couldn't compete with top tier heavyweights.

That's just reality. They beat him and beat him badly - over and over. He fought holme's when he was like 45. I doubt he could have beat holmes when he was 35. Holmes had the best jab in the business when he was younger, tyson could never handle a boxer. Any brawler, he'd win but boxing isn't about street brawls.

Why do you think no one even mentions tyson when they talk about the pound for pound best? They talk about roy jones jr, chavez, marciano, louis, etc., They even mention Michael Carbahal, Roberto Duran...tyson will never be there.

I wish he was 21 and with cus now...boxing would at least be entertaining. Knocking out club fighters doesn't make you great...going through the wars those guys did - makes you great. All of tyson's great fights - against top tier boxers, he lost.

Mike in his prime was one bad dude. He would have destroyed any UFC guys, no gloves. He probably would have killed guys in the octegon or whatever that ring is called. Only fighter in his prime who would have beat Mike....Ali

Lewis fought Tyson way past his prime. Tyson was old when he fought Lewis, yet it took Lewis 8 rounds to beat him

in his prime, i highly doubt any heavyweight could go toe-to-toe with him. i was watching his top knockouts on espn classic a few months ago and they guy just absolutely destroyed people with unparalleled punching power.

he was a human wrecking machine
