ok it was net worth better yet and here is the link

http://www.forbes.com/2007/01/17/ric...s Speed=15000

J.K. Rowling
Rank: 2
Net Worth (in $ millions): 1,000
Age: 40
Marital Status: married
Kids: 3
Source: books

The one-time single mom on welfare is the brains behind Harry Potter, one of the most successful book franchises in history. The sixth installment, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, was the fastest-selling book in history, according to Guiness World Records. The film series--from which Rowling enjoys a cut of royalties and merchandising--has also proven astoundingly successful, with the total gross for the four films already released topping $3.5 billion. Rowling is the only career author on Forbes' Billionaires list.

No shit! No player hating here. Good for her
Nobody has created that kind of quality Entertainment for kids in a long time.

Universal Studios is building a Theme park
. I predict it will out gross Disney in the First Year.

And, If she's worth that kind of coin...I'd Hit it!

Good for her. A good portion of the 1st book was written on napkins (because she couldn't afford paper much less a pc to type on) from a restaurant where she would go drink a cup of coffee. She literally went from nothing at all to being one of the wealthiest women in the World.

Considering just 4 movies have grossed $3.5 BILLION worldwide and another 3 movies to go. She's probably under paid.

I used to like her books, but as a person she strikes me as a cunt. I once went to get a book signed with her, and after waiting for hours, she just took it off me without looking, signed it and threw it back without saying shit.

Seeing as I'm paying towards your fortune the least you could have done was to fucking look at me.

I haven't read any of her books or seen any of the movies but it must be a pretty exciting story for kids. Awesome for her. I almost never read fiction.

Books, now that's one industry that doesn't seem to have been hurt to any great extent by the internet. I still buy books and it seems many others do too.
