Trout & Zimmer - Domain Question
A guy e-mailed me a while back asking about one of my mainstream domains, he was emailing from troutzimmer.com - After seeing his site, I figured it was a shell company of sorts, and it definitely is. These people have arranged domains for google, microsoft, and quite a few other decent domain names.
I talked with him about it briefly, then I was traveling for a bit so kind of forgot.. now he's e-mailing me at all possible addresses, calling & leaving msg's, etc Just wondering if anyone else had any experience dealing with these people specifically. Also, if anyone knows a lot about "domaining", feel free to ICQ or email me. andrew [at] real sex cash [dot] com |

I can support myself without doing any work at all from the domains that i own, so I guess I know something about "domaining"... but I have no real experience in mainstream (non adult) names.
Then again, unless your name is really special, sounds very good, contains typein traffic or referrs to a new fast emerging industry, it's basically a question on how much important the name is for you, and more importantly, how much important it is for the seller. If you suspect that the potential buyer may be a very big company, don't be afraid to ask a lot for it, if they are that desperate for it that they track down your different email adresses, then they are surely determined to buy it. So even if your asking price is too big, they wont laugh at you, they will just make a counter offer. And then you can go from there... EDIT: For a safe domain selling process, use Escrow.com, DomainSystems.com or Sedo.com
