I had customvue lasik done about 4 years ago to correct my nearsightedness (very nearsighted) and slight astigmatism. Been very very happy. I'm a but undercorrected in one eye but that means I may be able to avoid reading glasses later on.

That's nice to know. I have an astigmatism and contact lenses don't fit. I've tried all toric lenses available about 6 months ago, but I think it's a basecurve problem. They were either too big and slid down or too tight and slid up or felt like I have a fingernail stuck in my eye.

I had it done, scary as shit, but the best decision I ever made in my life

I also got this cool plan they offer which basically gives my lasik a lifetime guarantee....if at any time my eyes start declining again, they will fix em up for free, paid like $400 extra per eye for that

I had it done about 2 years ago, it is working out amazingly well for me, I can see twice the distance my friends can

yeah I am thinking about doing it as well. I can't wear contacts, they drive me crazy and I am just tired of glasses all the time.

My wife got it done in Windsor Ontario just over the border. She was blind as a bat and now has 20 20. I'll get the name of the Doctor if you need it. They have done around 10000 procedures

I did it and DO NOT regret it at all! Best thing I've ever done, my vision wasn't that bad but things were blurry and it was annoying.

Takes like 5-10 minutes for both eyes total.

RIGHT when the doc sat me up in the chair they had me read the eye graph and I was 20/40... total trip!

Do it, its great.

that sounds awesome! My biggest worry wa sId heard it only lasts for like 10 years and then you can' have it redone (because it involves cutting a circle oout of your eye, then putting it back and relying on your eye to heak itself....)

I did it here in Costa Rica few years ago and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made

Not needing contacts or glasses is a wonderful thing.

I had it done about 1 year ago too, best decision... I see 20/25 when I had pretty bad astigmatism (almost couldnt get the surgery because of how bad it was) and nearsightedness (couldnt see far away).

Do it!

I'm thinking about getting this done, too...

Never worn glasses, though I could probably have used them for the last 5 years.

i had lasik done in 2000. My right eye is still 20/10 crystal clear sharp. my left eye is 20/20 crystal clear. No problems with night driving either. Very happy i did it and very happy with results.

do your research on the center/doctor before you finalize

I did it and my eyes are great (2004). If I remember correctly i paid 1400 per eye, your eyes do dry out every once in awhile so its smart to keep eye drops around the house.

Now my dad had it done and even though the guy has money he is the biggest cheap ass you will ever meet. He found a coupon for 250 per eye and had it done in the back of a semi in a grocery store parking lot. He had his done in 2000 and says his vision is still as good as the day it was done. I'm glad for him but I would not go bargin shopping when it comes to eyes.

yup, you can do whatever you want like an hour after it is done

you are SOOOOOO sensitive to light though, so I suggest a DARK fucking room for at least a day

but after 24 hours you can do anything, your eyes just stay dry for a few weeks and you have to constantly wet them

I paid a little more because I got a lifetime guarantee on mine...so, if when I am 40 my eyes start declining again, I can go to any LasikPlus center and have them fixed again

Good luck!!!

I had it done 5 years ago. My vision was 20/20 and I was very happy but now my vision has deteriorated again.

Overall I am happy I did it and am considering doing it again. I still see well enough to drive without glasses so I'm not in a hurry.

I had it done when I was 30 and it was the best thing I have done for myself. I was a perfect candidate and now I see like a hawk. Be sure to have it done by a surgeon that specializes in only this procedure. Next you get what you pay for and do not go to some renegade surgeon that charges a low fee and does this procedure as a secondary surgery.

Well I was well within the minority but..

- bad night vision (neon lights and such really mess me up)
- very dry eyes when under hard artificial light
- very sensible to light (wish i could always use sun-glasses eh)
- had to start using glasses for small things which soon became "big things" as you get used to..seeing properly :/
- from one eye I cant see properly far, with the other...near which can be confusing for the brain to say the least..
- I'm pretty sure that if it keeps going like this within 4 years I will be seeing as bad has i had prior-lasik..
