MS Expression works well for me too but DW is able to insert .swf files with some kind of a script MS Expression can't do. It's small feature keeps me stick to it But it also lacks some good features too like built-in error control. I'm not talking about spelling but html/xhtml error detection.

Expressions lacks that? That kind of seems silly of them.

Dreamweaver validates.

I disagree. Truer words have in fact been spoken. I spoke them before.

I don't remember exactly what those words were . . . but I said 'em!

Maybe it was something along the lines of "fucking Thai hookers is a pleasurable experience" or some such non-bullshit.

These days, I just took the time to learn and now although I have a great coder, I can do a fair bit of CSS/HTML coding myself ... and I don't need WYSIWYG... I use Notepad ++ and it's great.

Dreamweaver etc just ended up ballsing my sites up....

I use Notepad++ too but any wysiwyg saves your time. It's a lot easier to click a button to insert an image then type <img....> so on or remember a doctype attributes for html 4.0 transitional or xhtml 1.0 strict. Moreover you can control your code splitting a window. If I could get a simple editor with these basic features, that would be great.

I thought Adobe Contribure would be someting I dreamt of. But it's too simple and made for those who doesn't care about html at all. You can't even correct errors or edit your code manually.

It speaks every time. When I try to close it, it says "closing a window" or something. I try to test a page in a browser, it lets me know that I do that. I didn't even try to disable it. I just deleted it.

I thought it was common knowledge that Frontpage sucked big floppy donkey dick?

If you're looking for a good code editor go with the Crimson Editor or UltraEdit.

Namo WebEditor is the best one. It's user-friendly, powerful and extremely cheap.
