Yeah, I like MASH too. It's not that FUNNY, but it's pleasant to watch.

mash isn't funny at all in the sense of a comedy; the main character tries to be funny with his witty comments all the time, someone like that in real life is already annoying as fuck let alone watch a dude like that in a 'comedy'.

aww, i liked mama's family.

i couldn't really think of any sitcoms that i didn't particularly care for, until someone else mentioned mad about you. i never really got into that one on the few episodes that i did make an effort to watch and see what all the fuss was about.

My sister liked Mama's Family ..so, I got to see it far too often. I like Carol Burnett but that was just not up to her standard.

Benson (I believe this was a spinoff of Silver Spoons, though I could be wrong. Something to do with a black butler, starring Robert Guillaume. Absolutely horrible.)

Three's A Crowd. (Three's Company spinoff where Jack married some broad and moved in with her. Somehow they managed to bring back Mr. Roper too)

Joanie Loves Chachi (Happy Days spinoff. Might as well add anything else that included Scott Baio while you are at it.)

That's 80's Show. (That 70's show spinoff) I've never actually watched this but I am including it in my list just on principal alone.

Enos (Dukes of Hazzard spinoff). I liked Enos on the Dukes when I was a kid but even I could tell how badly this new series stank.

My mother hated - with a capital H - me watching What's Happenin'. She couldn't stand the younger sister that smart mouthed her mother all the time.

The only sitcom I ever somewhat liked was Seinfeld.. besides that I HATE THEM ALL. Gilmore girls, friends, three's company, dharma and greg (DIE CHOKING ON A COCK B***H). I know "Charmed" isn't a sitcom but who the hell watches that??!?

No wonder reality TV got so popular.

Any show that has a laugh track blows ass. I used to get stoned with friends in college and we would watch the shows that featured the worst laugh tracks for fun. The best laugh tracks were produced in the late 70's early 80's because there were actual people laughing. The worst ones were in the early 90's with digitized laugh tracks. They sounded like someone bending a hand saw over and over again. I can't watch any sitcom anymore because they grate on my nerves terribly. I would have to start smoking weed again to sit through these shitty pieces of pop culture pockmarks.

For one, Three's company was a great sitcom...If you didn't like it, you're brain dead..It's still funny after all these years...

I don't remember much about Benson but I know that it was better than 'Soap', which it spun off of....I do remember liking how a Black man was talking mad shit to white people and getting away with it...

One of the worst sitcoms was when Method Man and Redman had a show called "Method and Red"...Jesus Christ that shit was horrible..I don't even think it lasted a full season.

How isn't it a typical sitcom? It by definition is exactly a typical "situation comedy". It's also a fantastic show, perhaps you need an injection of a couple of IQ points to understand the jist of the humor?

perhaps.. of course when someone doesn't have the same opinion on shows as you they must have a low IQ nice logi there fella.

and as far as being a "typical sitcom" I meant TYPICAL, look at the majority of the sitcoms listed in this thread, those are typical. I also know that the majority of people who watch mash like mash, that's why I specifically referred to mash. I have seen "Friends" and I understand the jokes, but I don't laugh. Do I need to get some IQ injections for that?

While you're getting them done, you should get them to inject some manners..

I am old enough and have a stupidly good memory for pop culture of my youth to know that Blossom had two starts...it started on Fox (when Fox was new) and they dropped it and the NBC picked it up and it went on for ages. I didn't mind it as a kid but in retrospect it is a bit dumb.

I am choosing to believe he means that it was a different level of quality to most sitcoms, particularly of the era, where it is people sitting on a sofa with crap jokes and no character development.
