Have any of you guys used Google Desktop yet? It's a bunch of tools for your PC. It seems like it's more for surfers though.

dude, I used it once and it used so much system resources I had to uninstall it....after a day or two it just dragged the system down

this was on my laptop though, I am sure it would have been great on my desktop

I use the Search function A LOT!

It has really increased my productivity......I can recommend it to everyone.
I haven't tried the rest of the features.

It saved me I lost all my account numbers and url for bills and they all were there on my laptop

I think it's a great tool. Microsoft's desktop program sucks the resources hardcore though. I tried MS and svchost was at 100% forever every time I booted up my PC.

Try using your computer when Google Desktop is indexing

Oh ya, when its indexing, its slow as fuck. But after that, it indexs files and emails as it comes in, and there is no problem for me.
BTW I use a 1.8 giggle hrtz with 512 ram.
