offshore banking

Hello,

I have a question about offshore banking and I searched GFY but I didn?t find a real answer in any thread. What I am looking for is a secure offshore bank that will accept a company from Panama (or Gibraltar, Belize etc) to open a business account there.
A big plus would be if you can say that the company is in the adult business.

So if you opened such an account or know somebody please post some info.

to be honest, that's quite expensive. it's better than paying full amount of taxes, but it's still to high...

Are they fine with adult? I don?t see business accounts there, just private, is that correct?
If I have a couple $100k going through that account per month will that cause any problems?

Bigfire, hope this isn't a threadjack... i think this dovetails your post:

As US citizens are required to report all income earned worldwide, what's the benefit of offshore banking?

Report all income earned... If you don't earn it, you don't pay it.

There are hundreds of offshore banks with websites which accept account applications - they need to be followed-up with, normally, notorized corp documents and some history about the company and principals - "know your customer" policy which applies to all banks.

It does not cost $1200 or anything to open a bank account - they want the biz or not?

Assuming your location is real in your profile - there is little purpose (other than for rare exceptional reasons) in operating offshore facilities if you are a US citizen. The privacy benefits are wiped with required tax filings to the IRS - answer that question incorrectly and it becomes illegal. (Obviously same as failing to report worldwide income).

The benefit for most is the ability to use EU processors ;)

If you simply want an EU presence for the purposes of processing Jamie - have a thought to just a normal company incorporated within the EU - no need to be "offshore" in particular.

You can pick up a "non-resident" UK company for less cost and this can have tax exemptions in the UK - banking can be anywhere, depending on what suits you. Here's a link to the main company agents in the UK...

Jordans

If you inquire about this - make sure to mention "non resident".

Hi Webby,

The beneficial owner of the company and account will not be a US citizen. Can you give me some concrete names of banks that you would recommend?
I would prefer banks that worked with companies from the adult business before.

I just need a couple good bank contacts of banks accepting business accounts from companies registered in Panama or Belize and those banks should be fine with the adult industry.

this must be some scam, 1.9% wire fee haha the most crazy thing I ever heard

normally offshore account is like every other account in US or Europe, so you should pay nothing for opening and 20-30$ for wire thats it

I would not touch them and be careful with the money, they are forex traders and forex traders used to go down often, if their trading will go down customers accounts will die too (unless they are only middleman to some real bank)

That's the stupidest thing I've heard in a while, $1200 to open a bank account, then 1.9% to get a wire...

come to turkey mate
with our new law you dont have to pay any taxes from your bank account
there are citybank hsbc and more banks here
no one asks about your money
and you can get %20 interest for your money
dont go stupid cyprus and pay thousands
sending wires from net banking is also free.
you can open investment account just with passport no company formation
come to istanbul go to citybank they will do it
or try hsbc if laden dont bomb hsbc while you are in the bank you can open account.

Interesting thread..

I'd like to incorporate in a low tax area and pay myself a minimal salary.

I'm thinking this would allow me to grow my *business* quicker by being able to invest more money into it by paying little to no tax?

Amiright or at leat on the right track ?

last i knew the minimum deposit to open a swiss account as an outsider was 25k CHF, if your going to be pushing $200k a month through it, that shouldn't be a problem ;) most swiss banks will take adult money, its all green to them, so to speak.

I dont see what's wrong with wanting to store your money offshore. If i had a significant amount of money I certainly wouldn't be keeping it all in US dollars.

Depends where you are resident - if it's the US that hoss don't run. If it is in almost any other country, it can be an option - depending.

As a rule of thumb - the moment you draw funds into your country of residence, there are taxes applicable (and it's not worth the hassle not declaring this.) However, it "may" be possible to retain funds offshore and use these soley for business trading - maybe. You need a tax lawyer in the country you reside - tho they are generally useless on this topic.

The simplest version is be resident in an offshore location (as long as you are not a US citizen). This skips all crap and tax problems and you can do whatever the hell you want with your money - and nobody is interested in taxation elements.
