Spoofed email addresses
Anybody ever come up with a good solution to stop scammers from spoofing your email addys as the return addresses.
I am getting slammed with bounces from someone using one of our mainstream sites as the return address. When I research them, they all point to hong kong, china, all asian or russian originators. I also get them bouncing using some of my adult domains but that does not concern me as much because I don't do any mailing from them. This has gotten us blacklisted on certain isps (including aol) which makes it a pain in the ass going through each isp's procedures to get unlisted so that we can get order confirmations etc back to the customers. I have looked around and I cannot find any solution other than to invent a new mail protocol to replace smtp and get it accepted as the standard somehow...Yeah, that'll happen ![]()
